My leukemia's back.

Not weird at all! I remember the same thing when I was giving myself Lovonox injections! And Ken has needed monthly B12 injections for his pernicious anemia for 8 years now and he still won't do it himself. There's just something about looking at that needle day after day and suddenly thinking, "I don't want to do this!" Then you go ahead and get it over with, and don't have another problem for awhile.

Happy that you enjoyed your family visit, but worry when you overdo.
Ditto what Blooie says about doing too much. Easy there, Girl! I hear you on the injections. Sometimes, my hubby will just look at me and say, "Just for one day, I'd like to take a vacation from being a diabetic." The day in and day out maintenance can be overwhelming at times.

I'm so glad you're doing better, Rachel. You're still in my prayers.

Make sure squirrel doesn't make it in the door... found a baby one hiding in the house one day - quite the spectacle, dog, cat, kids all chasing squirrel as it climbed the walls before hiding in bathroom. Took three days to trap it... could not find it in the bathroom - finally determined it had been sitting inside the toilet tank... Little guy flushed the toilet and water sprayed all over back wall of bathroom- squirrel had chewed through the rubber pipe inside toilet tank...

Good morning Rachel! I thought of you yesterday when I needed breeding advice on my chickens....If you don't have time or don't want to bother with it, don't worry.
Here is my question though. We have 70-80 chickens total. Most are broke up into breeding pens at this time. I have 2 barred rock hens. I have 3 CCL roosters and a Speckled Sussex rooster. Which rooster should I stick the barred rock hens with? In the end, I know I will have mutts. Which is fine. Just wondered if one is better than the other. I have bred the SS roo with RIR and Austrolorp hens. They are pretty mutts! And they have a good temperament. The CCL roos are new to me this year. Just something for you to ponder today

I hope you have a wonderful day. Snowing here....again. Take care. We are praying and rooting for you!

I'm running late today, so I have to say "Good afternoon Rachel"! Hope you're having a good day

JWB I'd probably have to go with the Ccl rooster, just to get some barred Easter Egger. It would be tempting to use a non barred male and get sex links, but I have a soft spot for barred Ee. Plus, you could use them next season for sex link breeding stock.

1 month post transplant!!!!!! Liver tests are all returning to normal, thank you Lord. Everything else is going well except I broke a tooth last night....that was weird. It's fine, just a chunk missing, no pain or anything. They really don't want to do any dental work right now, so it's just watchful waiting. Tried crocheting yesterday but the hands are still too shaky. Tapering off steroids next week, will try again then.

Good news on the liver tests and here's to things getting back to normal

Glad your chipped tooth doesn't hurt.

Have a restful evening Rachel!

Bummer on the tooth! so sorry!

How many more days do you have to go? Do you have the hash marks on the bathroom wall?
You could be doing the Count of Monte Cristo thing.
You'll need a sword for the prison break though...and a horse,...and a ship and an island and jewels!
or netflix. That might be less exhausting. and you won't get saltwater in your clothes and sand in your pockets.
