I will put them with the CCL roo tomorrow. The Speckled Sussex has enough hens to keep him busy anyways!!

That is weird about your tooth. Probably hospital food...LOL! Just kidding. Hang in there & you'll be good as new! Congrats on the month mark! We are all celebrating with you!!

Rachel, if Crested Legbars and Barred Rocks are both auto sexing breeds, wouldn't the babies be auto sexing, single combed green egg layers?

I am about to try to cross a Cream Legbar rooster with a cuckoo Marans hen.......

Enola, I have been searching high and low for a BCFM rooster. I have FM hens and OE hens. I wanted to breed him with them. Reading what you posted, I think I will give my CCL all the FM and OE too. At least until I find another rooster.

Good morning, Rachel and Team! It's a gorgeous morning here in northern Wyoming. Sun is glinting off the snowcaps on the mountains and the winds are calm for a change, unlike last night when they literally shook the house a few times. But they are supposed to pick up again later today - we are expecting winds of 25-35 mph with gusts as high as 45- 50 in some places where the mountains funnel them down. Ken is across the mountains in Sheridan and will be driving home later this afternoon, so if you could spare a prayer for a safe trip I'd be grateful. Winds up there are always far stronger, and that highway is so steep and curvy in some places. Thanks!

Rachel, your picture for today is of a this little character who spent a good 5 minutes trying to get some goodies out of an artificial flower! It's not the best photo technique-wise, but it's one that always makes me smile! Prayers for you, that you continue to do well, those pesky liver numbers stabilize, and you continue to make steady progress!

I was trying hard to figure out what variety of hibiscus had that color flower and that leaf margin... The humming bird wasn't the only one duped.

Safe journey for your husband.

Have a good day everyone, you especially, Rachel. Have a relaxing positively wonderful day.

Good morning Rachel! It is 34* this morning, after 2+ weeks of lows of 60+. It is beautiful and sunny today a going back down to 27* tonight. There will be a lot of tender garden plants covered tonight, I bet!

It is so good to know that you are seeing improvements. I can not imagine not being able to swallow.

Blooie,

for Ken on his way home.

Tropical hibiscus have beautiful red blooms. Actually they have lots of exotic colors that the hibiscus shrub doesn't come in.

Yes,you are right. I grow tropical hibiscus for wholesale.
That one had the leaf kind of like one called Kona, but the color of Brilliant red, but it is a double, but too small for Mon Ami, and it is upright so it was not Psyche...so I was just running down which one it was when I read that it really wasn't one.
Problem solved...I could move on and unbend my brain.

It is in the Low 50's here. I may have to cover things myself. I will keep an eye on the weather forecast today.
