My leukemia's back.

She is:D. Those were some of the birds we sold. Just thinning down the flock a bit.

Today is DHs bday! I'm going to work early so I can get home early:D. He is 53. When he had heart surgery in 2005, they told him it would buy him 2 years to 18 years at best. We are all blessed with everyday we are given. But I feel very blessed to still have him.

Have a wonderful day!

Happy birthday to your DH Outpost!

Outpost...

I hope by now you are having a wonderful Birthday celebration with your DH!

My Brother in law had a massive heart attack at the age of 49...he is now 64 years old! He was told that he had a maximum of 5 years to live when the heart attack happened...he leads a full life and has recently become a Grandfather...

Even the medical specialists can be wrong...

You and your DH are blessed because of your great love for each other...

400

Yup....made it to my first Tigers game today.
Would love to go to another. The 600 miles away part might stop me.
But if i go to my son's house First that's half way.

@LittleLakePhilThat's awesome! Hope you had a good time. Looks like you had better seats than I did at the Reds game last week. Not complaining, the tickets were free and I hadn't been in a decade or so. And It was a work trip, so I got paid for "working"! :D

Yep, in 1994, when my hubby got sick, a dear Dr. friend of ours told me to get my financial house in order. One of the first nights in ICU, the nurses were having a hushed conversation that my mother overheard that there were 3 deaths expected that night, Hubby being one of them. Sadly, the other 2 died. Chances of his surviving were less than 10%. I was not ready to become a widow. Told God that! Had many heart to heart conversations with Him during that time! Going through an experience like that makes you put all of life in perspective, and value what's truly important, and helps you to let go of the trivia.

Thanks, LG! The first three pgotos are of the dame bird, and the next 3 photos are also another bird. Just wanted different angles of the smae bird but they are 2 different breeds. Now I know I have 3(!) roosters! for 7 hens. The lavender Orpington is going to a new home this Sat. so that will make it 2. After cracking open the 15 day old dead chick, I am not really sure I want 2. LOL. Still recovering from that one and am REALLY glad I didn't crack that egg into the peach cobbler! EWWWW!

What is that old nursery rhyme about birds in a pie???
Had a scare today. My DH thought he had cellulitis again. Went to an appt., then hospital to rule out blood clot in the leg. Phew, no clot and no cellulitis! So grateful! He has a big entertaiing gig this weekend that really helps make the ends meet closer this month.
Got to nap for 15 and then back on carpool duty for the evening.

Cellulitis, hubby's been down that road, with a nice big second degree burn to go along with it. Since that bout of cellulitis, he's had swelling in that leg for 2 years. Messes up the lymphatic system.

Paid to go to a baseball game....how freaking cool is that.
Hope it was a good game....that would be a bonus.

Wow! And you are still young - but forced to mature rapidly.

No having kids as a teenager....and a 15 year old bride forced us to mature rapidly.
The leukemia never really phased me.
I know that sounds weird....but it's true. After a bit of crying and such initially I never let it bother me.
It's strange but you really seem to make peace with it.
