My leukemia's back.

Well, got an unexpected call last night. I'd been scheduled for an overnight sleep study, but not til May. They had me on the cancellation list and a spot came up last night. Good thing they called when they did, I was on my way to bed!

It wasn't as bad as I'd thought it might be. they hook you up with wires all over--scalp, face, bands around the chest and belly, leads on the legs. I should have taken a picture. I did get some good sleep, though. Have to wait until the Dr reads the results, the tech wouldn't give out anything :p

Rainy again today, but we've got to get stalls cleaned. Honey's still working on the new truck. Not a whole lot going on otherwise....

Hope someone has sunshine! And good breathing to everyone ;)

They wanted to do a sleep study on me..... I said no.... Unless they are prepared to wait for days for me to fall a sleep...... I have a hard enough time sleeping naked.... :idunno
Rachel,
Glad you got a sleep study done! 2 of mine have them regularly. It is very interesting to see all those wires and electrodes and wrappings on you. For kids they look like mummies when they are finally done with them.  And not on your life or for a million bucks will they give you a even a remote clue of what was seen or found!! But having one done can prove or disprove sleep issues. Sleep issues can kill you literally.  As to the house feeling smaller, I had to laugh when I read that as I had 3 dogs and 3 family members piling onto the bed in out small .bedroom this morning. I sometimes think I would like to live in a tiny house...must be a little daft to think I could do that with 3 dogs and 5 messy people.
 Phil,
How are you now? Still on 60 mg.? And what was the final dinner menu?? We all would like to come over for dinner! Makes me hungry for roasted vegetables!  How do you cook with a salt slab?? Never heard of that before! Can you tell us more? I have a few steaks from that 1/8 of a cow we bought to use soon...
Rnott,
Thanks for answering my question: How long would it take for a mating to be pure if you pen them together?  and How long would you need them tp be together for it to last? So I would need to separate them for at least 45 days, and hatch only the last 12 days in order to be sure of pure breed chicks. Correct?? If correct, and I do that, Is it hard for them to reintegrate back into the flock once released? I have a small flock of 6 hens and 2 roosters. They all get along really well! So not sure if I want to just buy chicks, set mixed eggs, buy pure bred eggs, etc. but my whole thought originally in keeping the 2 roosters was to not have to put out $$$ for more eggs or chicks!  And if a Crested Cream legbar male mates with a Lavender Orpington will that hen lay green eggs?? And if a Bielefelder male mates with a CCl hen  also green eggs??
Finally got most of the salmon baked out of the oven but think I will go for an oven cleaning this weekend. And my second job has been shut down by the nasty stomach bug all last week and possibly into next. First local got involved, then state and now CDC! Management is not happy and on the warpath. Not happy about losing a week's pay but am glad to not be there dealing with everything. :sick
No one's heard from Outpost have they???
SUNNY and 68 today!!! Wearing a t-shirt and jeans in February!! SOOO wierd!

Well.... I cooked two nice bacon wrapped tenderloins..... Mashed potatoes (real)..... And sweet corn.

I cherry glazed the beef.
Still raining here.

Honey and Sugar Monkey worked on that truck all day yesterday. today Honey took it for a test drive and it overheated.

Phil, I think you need to make a trip out here and help him fix it. Something's got to give. It was supposed to be a step in a drive, not a fixer.

We're headed to Portland tomorrow, testing Tuesday. No big plans while we're in the city, just haven't been inspired to find anything to do. Just praying the Locusts don't kill each other while we're gone, and no baby calf comes.

For people like us I think all trucks are a work in progress.....

Rachel good luck with your trip and test

I think a nap would be a wonderful way to test that theory. Surely, if they were going to try to sneak away, they would do so when you were napping.

Indeed! So, basically, DD, you need to just nap every day until the sticks disappear.........

Safe travels, Rachel - and best of luck with the testing.

Ok, figured that last hen out... I thought we lost her to the hawk but I think she's a Welsummer.

Yep - lovely little Welsummer.

LOL - I've known a few people with that mindset in my life

Will pray! Go do something you wanted to do but didn't have the time to do. And perhaps digging out those handcuffs(wasn't that you that had them in a pocket one time?) for the boys might be good for them?? That way if they do kill each other the evidence is, well, very evident!

Phil, TMI but I am quite sure they have seen EVERYTHING when it comes to a sleep study! When you are sooo extremely tired that you'll do anything to get a decent night's sleep and feel better, doing one night's test is worth it. Maybe someday you can be like Mike in the cereal commercial...You just might like it.

That dinner sounded great! How do you cook on a salt slab???

Good morning all...another windy day in Wyoming here. Hope everyone is well and has a good Tuesday!

Was windy here yesterday in New Mexico, supposed to be calmer today, then pick back up on Thursday.

Super busy trying to catch up on work, plus they are begging me to do extra to cover a few team members that flaked out. Can't wait until March 10 when this contract is over!!

Have a great day everyone!
