My leukemia's back.

Team Rachel! Good morning.

Rachel, I figured it was time for some fresh flowers. I brought enough that @sourland could have some too, lol.

Have a good day and remember Team Rachel is praying for you & cheering you on every day!

Rachel, Praying for a beautiful sunny day full of good healing for you. Sending you some virtual home made applesauce with just a splash of sugar (bet you can't have honey yet) and a dash of cinnamon.

@Bunnylady , that was great! I hadn't heard or thought of Tiny Tim's rendition of that forever...too funny!

Not only neutrophils, but I'm also making some platelets!

ANC stands for absolute neutrophil count, it's a calculated number based on the immature white cells that still have the potential to turn into the different types of fighters. Basically, it's an indicator of bone marrow regrowth, that the marrow is starting to step up and work properly.

Going all the way off the basal rate of the pain med was not a smart move yesterday. I just couldn't keep up with the pain in my mouth and got pretty miserable. Had the nurse bump it back up a touch so I'm getting a tiny continuous drip and can still bolus myself for eating, etc. Waiting for breakfast, we'll see how it goes. Sugars are better this am and my goal is to get off this TPN. They want me drinking 2liters of fluid a day to get off the TPN, they don't care so much how much I'm eating.

There's a farm a bit south of here, I think between Portland and Salem, that does Tulip days, they've been on the news with their beautiful fields. So many different colors, it's like a riot! Totally made me think of Tiny Tim, also. Great minds....

Thanks for the explanation. So very glad you're feeling even just a tiny bit better. Baby steps, right? As long as you're moving in the right direction! Yay, Rachel! You go girl!!!!

P.S. I loved the trip down memory lane with Tiny Tim. I'm gonna show it to my 13 y.o. this afternoon. He'll be so very not impressed. It'll be worth it to see the eyes rolling!
