I'm not butchering sourland, that's just icky!!! Moving back to meat birds and turkeys in my mind. I'm wanting Burbon Red turkeys but am leery of the blackhead thing. Then, my honey's making friends with a lady who is overrun with feral turkeys. She says she literally walks out in her pasture and pulls poults from the broody momma and raises them. At first it sounds kind of harsh to me, stealing babies, but then I realized they can be free sacrifice animals to test for disease. If free turkeys get sick and die, well, bummer. At least I'm not out $10 each!

Honey's talking about coming up this weekend. If it's just him, and just for one night, I'm honestly thinking about asking him to bring my Eve for a visit. She's low energy enough I think she could overnight in the motel. Plus, now I know where the dog park is!

Are they allowing dog visits? Don't do anything against recommendations, even no matter how much you crave it. From here on out, it's a waiting game until you're completely back on top of YOUR game!

Being around your household pets is allowed. No cleaning up poo....bummer lol. Chickens and the coop would be off limits, but I'm not asking him to bring a hen. Sugar Monkey can bathe her before they head up....I'm still trying to decide if it would be too stressful. We'll see. I did check with the front desk and she said an overnight would be fine, they wouldn't ask for a deposit or anything.
