Well, that was fast! Bless that officer's heart for resolving this so quickly.....

Apparently he wound up speaking to the county planning commission, specifically Laura who we have worked with on and off for the last 4 years trying to figure how to get a new house on our place. She was able to explain our situation and we are good to go. It's a grandfathered in kind of thing, so if we don't keep pigs for 12 consecutive months we can lose the right, but that shouldn't be a problem. We also need to move the pen 35 feet from that neighbors property line, but have a month to do so

We really just need to move.

I have a sweet little chicken coop.
although, I am not sure pigs are allowed on A2. We can have sheep, 500 chickens, but no goats.

Guess who wants goats? Yes. that is right. ME!
I want a lot of things and more people around me isn't one of them.

I think I have been spending too much time with sourland. I am becoming curmudgeonly.

We have a new litter of baby meat rabbits, little pink, blind squirmers. Gotta run out and take another look!

good afternoon, Rachel. Planted my tomatoes today and am continuing work in the flower beds - almost 75% done.

I want to plant tomatoes.......

Found out the hard way it's a bad idea for me to get down on my knees...I couldn't get back up! I knew my thigh muscles are weak, but it never occurred to me I would get stuck. I'd squatted down to look in the crisper, then knelt. Couldn't get back up for the life of me. Then, I've got my 73 year old mother trying to help me up....that's not going to end well. I'm laughing and crawling into the bathroom to use the toilet to push myself up....finally made it!! That was an eye opener for sure. I can walk fair distances, and do stairs with a rail, never once did I think I'd get stuck on the ground.

Rachel, you are getting an early idea of what the aging process does.

Trust me we don't bounce back like we once did. After a winter of inactivity my body has rebelled at getting back to work. I think that I am finally Charlie horse free.
