Dawn that's right.
I was so confused when she showed up.
I thought maybe I had missed a season or something.
Spike was my favorite. and then Xander's girlfriend.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow and that Rachel has good news this week!
Does this qualify as "something green on the plate"?
Good morning everyone!
@hbhoffman , I'd say that green bird counts, lol. But is it a recognized color for it's breed, lol?
Good morning Rachel! Hope it's a good day for you and everyone else
Good morning, Rachel.
Maybe you're right Rachel, hmm, an Easter Turkey. Or maybe a St. Patty's Day turkey?
Grrr... apparently our neighbor to the rear called the police about us having pigs. Yes, the police, not animal control. Seriously?
So, we have a kind of unique situation. We are technically in the county, not the city. We are, however, in an Urban Growth area, and it is literally a island of maybe half a dozen properties, all literally surrounded by properties zoned city. We don't pay city taxes, don't talk to the city about building permits, and when we call 911 the city cops decline to respond. No city sewer or water, etc. Pretty clear we're not in the city.
Except apparently this officer looked up something at the assessors office on line and feels we're in the city. Now my poor Honey's all stressed out about getting fined and having to get rid of not only the pigs but the roosters. I tried to talk to him but he lets himself get so stressed, and it's so hard for me not being able to be there for him. I'll offer to make phone calls tomorrow if that will help him. To me it's simply a matter of getting things straightened out, but he always jumps to worst case scenario.....
Your husband sounds like me. and you sound like my husband.
Sorry you have neighbors like that.
When we started out nursery we were ALONE. Nothing at all.
Now it is busy highways and houses and cars and...I am still zoned Agriculture. They try to take it away every year. The last gut took pictures of the green houses the plants the orchard, the grapes, the chickens and said, "If this isn't Ag, I don't know what is. Hopefully this will keep them off of your back. But the county wants the revenue."
Look at your taxes and see what your zoning is. Just because the city comes to you, it does not mean you moved to the city.
One big cyber hug to your husband and maybe a piece of sympathy pie with ice cream on the side.
