My leukemia's back.

Good morning Rachel!

Hoping all is great today! I think the umbrella is a great idea too. I avoid sun like the plague due to having skin cancer. Had MOHS surgery last year at age 43. It was a BIG eye opener. I don't go anywhere without my hats. When driving I wear a ball cap mostly. Here I go to and from work in my banker's clothes and sporting whatever ball cap I have in the vehicle at the time

I am praying about your test results

. 7 days is a long time to wait for results. I hope these days fly by for you. And no pizza??? You have such willpower! When you get all better can you be my personal trainer? (I have no willpower when it comes to food.)

Have a good day! @Blooie , Thanks for sharing all the pics and for your support to Rachel as well as others

Brrr! 47o at gettin' up time, this morning! This is May, for Pete's sake! What, did somebody move us to the mountains overnight??
*stumbles to window, peers out and blinks several times*

Nope, still really FLAT out there. And green.

Gonna be a lovely day, though, even though I have to

Hope y'all have a great day!

Good morning Rachel and Team! I wasn't on yesterday so I had to catch up a little bit. We took the end fence off the run, added another cattle panel to make it bigger, then put the end back on. Wasn't at all difficult - or wouldn't have been if we hadn't been so over-zealous wiring the end to the sides. He must have used a mile of wire! Then we had to cover the cattle panel in it's chicken wire skin and hardware cloth skirt and apron. All we have to do now is get another piece of lattice and extend the little fence. But I did think of you folks!

Rachel, I have a sun umbrella that attaches to my lawn chair or patio chair. It's flexible, can be bent to block the sun, and it's about the same size as a large rain umbrella, and it operates just the same way. I haven't found a chair yet that it doesn't work on. It has a little piece on the end that works sort of like a vice - you slip that over the frame of your chair and tighten it. One year I used it to protect a hummingbird feeder. Had one feeder that the sun heated mercilessly, but it was a favorite dining establishment. So I sacrificed my umbrella to put over the feeder. I could bend it to follow the sun. I'll see if I have a photo of it in use. I love that thing! Oh, one caveat. If you attach it to a lightweight aluminum lawn chair on a windy day, don't forget to close it before you go back inside. That thing made the chair a para-sail without my bulk holding it down!

At LG - aww, I love you too!

This little guy was on the feeder rather late....looked like he couldn't decide whether to eat or sleep! That's how I felt when we took our dinner break yesterday.

This is a nice little thing for all the hummingbird lovers:

Rachel, hope you had a good day today. (And that tomorrow is even better!)

Thank you all for the suggestions. I'm good with the floppy sun hats, and already don't go out during the heat of the day. I've been wanting to jazz the garden up some anyway, this makes a great excuse!

So, another exciting day at the motel. Big doings here was our trip to Wal-Mart. But, I am getting stronger every day, walking a little farther. Plus, all the Big Bang Theory we can watch......

Good morning Rachel and everyone,

Rachel, a trip to Wal-Mart (for anyone) can be exhausting so that was a big deal for you yesterday, way to go! You have to be doing better to be able to handle Wal-Mart, lol.

Hope you have a lovely Sunday

Every time I darken the doorstep of the nearest Superstore, I get flashbacks to the Stuff Mart in "Madam Blueberry" (my kids watched Veggietales a lot). BB2K just rolls her eyes when I start humming the "Blue Danube;" she should be glad I don't go into the "Stuff Mart Rap" (Bungee! Bungee! Bungee-wungee-wungee here we go bungee! Come on!)
