Grrr... apparently our neighbor to the rear called the police about us having pigs. Yes, the police, not animal control. Seriously?
So, we have a kind of unique situation. We are technically in the county, not the city. We are, however, in an Urban Growth area, and it is literally a island of maybe half a dozen properties, all literally surrounded by properties zoned city. We don't pay city taxes, don't talk to the city about building permits, and when we call 911 the city cops decline to respond. No city sewer or water, etc. Pretty clear we're not in the city.
Except apparently this officer looked up something at the assessors office on line and feels we're in the city. Now my poor Honey's all stressed out about getting fined and having to get rid of not only the pigs but the roosters. I tried to talk to him but he lets himself get so stressed, and it's so hard for me not being able to be there for him. I'll offer to make phone calls tomorrow if that will help him. To me it's simply a matter of getting things straightened out, but he always jumps to worst case scenario.....
