My leukemia's back.

Sorry, that just really hit too close to home for me yesterday.

We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.....

With littles, quiet is bad. It's hard, cause you just want to enjoy it, but you know if you don't go track them down you're going to regret it later.......

Blooie, kind of the nice thing about living in an old trailer, right? You can search the whole place in no time flat. Our family always enjoys watching movies/tv shows where there's an intruder in a large house, and everyone's running around avoiding them or sneaking up on them. In here, not so much. One short, narrow hallway and that's it, no place to sneak around.

Doctor's appointment yesterday. Blood counts continue to do well, thank you Jesus! Liver functions are creeping up though, and they don't know why. Not concerned yet, say it could be med related. Potassium down again, increased oral replacement. The PA didn't have the note from the University specialist I saw last week, so he had to go on my memory of the visit

. Well, I could remember the PFT and the trio of meds he would treat me with. I'm honestly not sure the PA knew what BOOP is, and he was talking about putting me on Albuterol instead.

Listen dude, the smart guy didn't want Albuterol, he wanted an inhaled steroid. There is a difference, trust me. Anyway, waiting for them to call me back with the appt for the PFT. I called to my specialist's office yesterday and talked with one of the nurse practitioners, telling them I'm just unhappy with the care here and asking if they have another local provider they'd recommend. I understand it's going to be at the same office, but there's nothing I can do about that. I just want someone who pays more attention to detail and I feel is actually taking care of me. Anyway, specialist is out of the office until next Wed so I won't hear back until later next week, but that's okay, the ball is rolling anyway.

Chicken related...of all those eggs I set in the incubator, only 10 made it to lockdown

. I have no idea what's going on, but the eggs from Sylvester's and Eric's pens never developed a bit, like the roosters aren't mating at all. I never see Sylvester mating, but I see Eric mating. I just don't know. All the fertile eggs are from my silkie rooster Glen. 2 pips so far

I hope you find a good care provider!

It is possible that heat played a role in fertility--both for rooster activity and development. It was very hot for you this summer and there was likely a lot of smoke in the air. Horrible summer!

Rachel, good for you on speaking up about wanting a different provider. I hope you feel better about the next one. Good to hear your blood counts are doing well!
