Blooie, that's one Hi-Larious costume! I'm amazed how creative folks can get when they want to.

My favorite costume was 2 years ago. I was in the middle of chemo and felt crappy, but wanted to take the kiddos out. We usually do some type of costume, but I just didn't feel up to much. So, a big ol sheet of aluminum foil, folded over and molded around my poor bald head.....viola! Jeans and a sweatshirt, boots.....I was good to go. Got some strange looks from the other parents but my pastor laughed his butt off. I'll say this, a tinfoil hat will get you sweating in no time, those puppies are hot!

Phil, thanks for sharing a bit of your story. Hubby says, everybody has a story to tell, and it's true. A bit of our story: 21 years ago, I took hubby to the ER for what we thought was a bad flu bug, with nausea and vomiting. 6 weeks later, I brought him home... after he spent 4 weeks with no oral intake, 3 weeks in ICU, 6 hours of surgery, 8 units of blood, 3 days on life support with induced coma. He left his pancreas in Bangor, Maine!! I thank God for preserving his life, because, given the circumstances, and the prognosis, he should have left the hospital in a casket. Every Easter, and the first sighted robin bring those first scary days and hours back to me full force, b/c those were events surrounding the beginning of that time in our lives.

Sometimes I do wonder why we meet the people we do in our lives at a particular moment or how groups of people just "find" each other. Curious thing, I don't think it's all coincidence, I think there are reasons for it.

I just know I'm really glad to have stumbled into all you guys when I did, no matter what the reason might be.

I'm beat had a really long day today...it involved taking the body off one 1969 Chevy truck...putting it onto another truck...then putting that body on the other....lot of work..a little drinking and a lot of friends...Oh yeah and pizza....hope everyone had a good day
