Today is my husband 's and my anniversary... I think we dodged the shipwreck, but
We got married on the opening day of hunting season and only half of my family showed up.
I guess it showed some true colors there.

Me and my wife married second day off deer season...congrats...I'd say their true colors were camo

You should come out to California and go to Lake Tahoe!

It is one of  the Clearest lakes in the World.

Don't doubt that at all saw pictures before....But my point being is water just below Lake Superior surface is still pure glacial water.....and she has ocean freighters running across her.

Lake tahoe is a different type of lake, but also has pure water in it--which is why it is clear. Tahoe also has it's own mythology, because the water is so cold and that bodies are recovered in good condition years after they drown there This is a geological image of the lake:

Lake Superior is cold....really cold also...deep too....is it Lake Tahoe that is a little deeper?
Either way the surface of Superior never warms up enough for me to swim in it. I cringe when I see people wading in her waters...Brrrrr

Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park - so clear you can see the bottom no matter how far out you look, and on calm days it reflects the Tetons so well that if you have a photograph of it and turn it around a couple of times suddenly you don't know which way is upside down!

Happy Anniversary! Ken and I got married on Leap Year Day. 'Nuff said! Couldn't even apply for my Social Security online - kept rejecting the date of our marriage. Well, that and having been issued two different birth certificates with two different names on it didn't help, especially since one was a new issue when I was in my 30s. Throw a monkey wrench into the Gov's neatly laid out one-size-fits-all templates and all kinds of ................ breaks loose!
