I see sunshine today! It's too wet to let the horses out, but I may plug away at the stalls a bit.

Bunnylady, we used to feed our horses in large galvanized stock tanks. one morning, I still have no idea how this happened, my full size mare wound up upside down in one of the tanks. I'm talking butt wedged in there, feet in the air, neck hanging over the side. How on earth? We basically just tipped her over and had to really pull the tank off, not sure how her huge rump got so wedged down in there. No idea how long she was like that, could have been 12 hours. She shook it right off and was fine, hopefully your Blondie does the same. Horses, I'm telling you......

Just checking in. ..
Actually feeling stronger-and don't tell my family bcs I am still trying to get a few more naps this week to stay strong! My special dd had her sleep study this weekend. Hippie the results are good and positive. If not, then grace to deal with the next step.

Glad everyone's having productive & fun days! Now I am going to wander around thinking about how horses really go get themselves stuck like that!!

as I remember it was usually after midnight Christmas morning under freezing conditions...
I did learn something from my youth after all.
I gave up horses for sheep, then I gave up sheep for chickens.

I've got a question for you plant-type folks. Anyone got advice for a Christmas cactus?

A friend gave us some cuttings (I guess that's what they are with this plant?). Out of the 4, one looks really good. It's been over a month now, the other cuttings look dying or dead but this one is bright and perky and has new growth on it. She put them in soil in a yogurt container and I'd like to move it to a nicer planter. Is now a good time, should I wait a while longer for it to be stronger? does it matter?

And then, I was at the store and going to buy some cut flowers (cause I can have flowers now

) but saw another Christmas Cactus with the prettiest salmon/orange blossoms. It's simply stunning! It's in a little 4" pot, with the paper stuff wrapped around it. I'm thinking to remove the wrapping and just set in in a saucer. I'd love to repot it into a bigger, nicer container but I'm thinking not until it's done blooming, right? I don't want to mess up these beautiful blossoms. Do these things like to be root bound, does it help them bloom better? Any advice would be appreciated.

Pernicious?
actually, that is a great word except when used with anemia.

Long story short - you would have to know my doctor - think that he went to school with some of Rachel's doctors. He never gave that diagnosis. Once I started the B 12 shots all of my weird symptoms resolved. After several months I had blood work done and was at a high normal level once again. Stopped shots, kept up the vitamins, ate the right stuff, sort of stayed away from the wrong stuff and all seemed well. Lately I am too tired once again, hand tremors have returned, muscle cramping is back but not anywhere near as severe as before, and I am a little more short of breath than I think I should be. Maybe it's just too many birthdays.
