My leukemia's back.

Phil, a friend of mine years ago had SAD. She said the thing that brought her the most relief was one of those lamps (can't remember the name) that gave her the same feeling as sunshine. Can't recall the name...anyone know what I'm talking about?

I put daylight bulbs in the shop light fixtures in our hatching shed, I have to spend a lot of time in there in the spring and summer. I use to hurt a lot in joints, the bulbs seemed to help a lot. or I just think they do. either way. I'll keep using them. they have daylight bulbs of all different kinds that mimic sunshine.

Going to town tomorrow...gonna hit a movie some lunch....looks like my wife has a kidney infection so probably have to hit walk in clinic first.....but meeting our daughter to watch the show.
I think that'll help lift a little of this funk anyway.

I have SAD and the lights are wonderful. Really feeling the lack of one since mine got lost in the move to NM, need to order another one.

One brand is the Verilux HappyLight, which you use from half an hour to an hour every morning. There are a bunch of different brands out there.

It is Seasonal Affective Disorder...a bright yellow card can have as much effect...it happens to me in October/November.. every year..now it is with me in December too...grey days, rain and I want to hibernate..sadly I am needed her for my animals..wish it was Spring...at least I could look for optimism of warmer days and light in the evenings...c'est la vie!

Phil...just hang in there...we are all here for you and your family in times of need..a huge group hug for you....

I'm fine generally I deal with this stuff very well...I had a serious bout with clinical depression years ago. With that I developed coping mechanisms to prevent things from going south...I'm a very strong willed person....that is how I beat leukemia....that is how I deal with all the poor health issues I have now..my wife isn't however and I make a lousy cheerleader.
