It was in the 50s today!! Honeys had so much overtime they had him take the day off. We cleaned out the hay barn down to sweeping the floor. There were some broken floorboards so we just laid a sheet of plywood down for now to stack the hay. It was hard to breathe at times but it felt so good to get a project done together, I've been missing that. Then he stocked hay from the pole barn up front to the hay barn. I watched and told him how strong he is.

Labs drawn yesterday, appointment not for a week. Its kind of weird going so long between appointments, but I think I like it!!!

As long as the results come back good each time, I reckon you'll get used to the longer time between appointments.

We had temps in the 40's and thunderstorms with pouring rain this evening; tomorrow we won't get out of the 30's and will have a chance of snow/freezing rain. Sounds like good weather for indoor projects. Wish I hadn't gashed my index fingertip on the Cuisinart blade earlier; that's gonna put a cramp in my style for a few days.

I think I like you going a long time between appointments too!

Supposed to be in the mid 40s again tomorrow and we don't have Kendra, so the plan is to go out and freshen the coop and run. We let the girls out no matter what the weather, and they take full advantage of it, believe me!! See?

So while they aren't underfoot we'll do some bedding turning, clean the feeders and waterers, and generally freshen the joint up so it's more comfy when the next round of sub-zeros roll around.

Rachel, going a week without appointments is a mark of progress. Yay for you! How nice you & Honey had time to do a project together.

Phil, looking forward to seeing some fishing pictures

Bunny, sorry about your finger. Kitchen appliances can be hazardous for sure.

Blooie, thanks for the chickens in the snow pictures, they look like they are enjoying themselves!

Wind picked up here starting yesterday afternoon and has continue throughout the night. These chickens of mine are definitely not enjoying getting their feathers ruffled. It's not supposed to get above 45* today with a low tonight of 29*. Sorry Phil, no shorts here!

Howdy Phil! Good morning everyone! Gonna be a great day - a busy one, but that's always great, right? Got a lot of work to do but I'm grateful that I can get out there and do it, so I'll not complain.
