My leukemia's back.

And where she trod grew flowers, when she smiled she lit the sun.
Her kindness was a rainbow that she shared with everyone.
She lived life as she saw it, with joy and love unbound,
And she saw with childlike wonder God's goodness all around.
Sleep and live with Jesus, sweet Sharon. You touched everyone around you with the gentleness of a butterfly's kiss. We will love you forever.

We just got word that Ken's beloved sister Sharon has passed away. She was born with Down's Syndrome and was the kindest, most loving and openly warm hearted person I've ever met. I wish every one of you could have known the warmth and peace that just one hour with her could bring. This was a total shock - Ken is taking it very hard. I pray I have what I'll need to help him through the next few days, and the wisdom to get him through the following days as well.

Blooie, I'm so sorry to hear that. Sharon sounds like a delightful person, I'm sure she will be sorely missed. My sympathies to you, Ken and all your family.

She sounds like one in a Million!

Sorry for your loss.

Sorry Blooie....
....life is tough sometimes. But that reminds us how wonderful it is when times are good.

I hope you can help Kens heart heal. And ease him through the grieving process.......:hugs...Phil

Thanks, everyone! We're still in a holding pattern here - Robbie called this afternoon and said that because they have some people on the snowbound East side of the country who want to come and pay their respects (some members of his family) he wants to hold off until later this week or even early next week to give them time. So we're all packed, the house is cleaned up, and as soon as he calls with more information, we're heading out. Ken told him we'd be happy to come anytime and help him, but he said he's got lots of neighbors who loved Sharon too and have stepped in to give him a hand, as well as one sister who lives about 30 miles away from him. I knew Sharon touched everyone who ever met her, but I had no idea the magnitude of the affection everyone had for her and Robbie. Gives me a lot of hope that even with her delays, Kendra will be able to have that kind of impact as she grows and matures.

Anyway, soon as I know what's going on I'll let you know. Hope the weather holds....
