Actually Sour I'd be honored my dad wasn't very nice.
But even as a mean alcoholic he taught me a lot.
I have no idea what demons he was chasing away.

Phil, from our families we learn what we want to be, and maybe more importantly what we don't want to be. The Princess and I both grew up in somewhat dysfunctional families and early on we resolved to not repeat those mistakes. We have not been perfect (especially me for a spell), but our kids grew up knowing that they were safe, loved, and important to us.

Y'know, Phil, right there you did a thing that way too many people never learn to do. You can gain an awful lot of peace in your own heart when you develop that perspective - good job.

yeah...I never said good bye.
Even though I had the chance. (Talk about a demon chasing me).
I never realized how important that was until I faced near certain death. My father died lonely. That's the worst thing that can happen to a person. I know. For that I'm sorry.

Phil, YOU will never die lonely. You created your own way of living that has given you untold dividends. Not only have you created a biological family, but you also have created a network of friends who care.
