My leukemia's back.

So here's an image for ya'all....

My local feed store is having a bucket sale. You buy a 5 gallon bucket for $3. Anything that fits in the bucket is 20% off. The sale is this weekend.

they don't get baby chicks until the end of the month. Myself, I'm thinking they should hold the bucket sale until they have baby chicks

. Can't ya'all see Rachel with a 5 gallon bucket of chicks? And one of ducklings, and one of turkey poults, and another of chicks....wonder if they'd make me put the lid on?

I bet you would figure out how to put some kind of shelf/layer in the buckets so it would fit more chicks and not squish themselves!!!

Spookwriter, Welcome to the group. It's ok to not be functional. Yes, there will be stabs of the heart. Work through it and remember why it hurts-You loved her! That is a good reason to hurt as well as a good reason to smile, to recall memories, to be thankful for the good days and the sad days and the ones in between. Could you ask your daughter if she would like to go to help? Let her gently know that you are not ready yet to do that kind of event and that you are grateful for all the memories and the other times you went. Be gently honest and open and expressing care for her. And perhaps it is time to start a new tradition? Just some random thoughts of support during this painful time. I have been praying for you.
Blooie, I second that thought of never thinking you would be a smoker. Keep thinking about quitting! You know we will all be here rooting for you when you do!

BTW, made dinner in 45 min.. Thai curry chicken minus the curry (eeww on curry) with coconut milk, asparagus, peas, carrots and onions with a side of brown rice. It was good.

LG, LOL. I wrote in in our wedding vows. Said after this day, you will iron your own clothes. The only good thing an iron is for is emergency grilled cheeses or for quilting! Don't even own an ironing board anymore. It broke and was never replaced. Just have an ironing pad.
Anyone seen Pinky or Suzie? Or Rnott?

I pmed Suzie and she is dealing with some health issues. But said she would be back as soon as possible. Hope she's okay. If some of you more religious then me would say a prayer I would appreciate it. I'm not sure how much weight mine carry. But I try....Phil

Spook, Try making Ghiradelli Brownies from the box! Pretty easy and really to good to not eat them all! I make them in the same pan I bake them in mixing by hand with a fork. Just put a little half spoonful of the oil it calls for into the pan to oil it up so they don't stick. After that follow the directions.

Can you make a sandwich? And heat up a can of soup? Popcorn or scrambled eggs for dinner are always an option around here. My favorite emergency meal is a roasted chicken from the store with a microwaved sweet potato and a can of white corn heated up in....yup... the microwave. Make your salad bar and deli/ prepared foods sections your best friend. It will be awesome to have "normal" food around. As for the neighbor that asks if they can help, say "yes" and ask them to make you cookie dough. Then it's easy to make a few in the oven! Lol. Very little mess when you use parchment paper. And with a glass of fresh milk will be wonderful. Are you hungry Yet? If yes, then mission accomplished.

Phil, Your prayers always count. God doesn't discriminate when someone prays.
