Ooooh, Ghiradelli Brownies...I do a lot of baking from scratch but when it comes to brownies, those are the best. All brownie mixes are not created equal, forget Betty Crocker, Duncan Hines, etc. Go for the Ghiradelli!

NFC, Hi! Yep, quit making them from scratch once I started using these. Sadly they don't last more than a couple of hours around me house. Don't know who the culprit(s) are...

going back down to sew up one more block before bed. Trying to keep the strong diagonal lines going.

Well, as a Lady of Leisure, Friday doesn't mean so much to me anymore, but that is just the funniest thing!

When I was working and the boys were young, on Friday afternoon when I got home we'd all throw our arms up in the air and yell "Yea Weekend!". It kind of fell out of favor over the last few years, as they got older and health issues happened.....but last weekend Sugar Monkey did it when he got home from school

. We may re-institute that, it was just a cool little family thing.

I'm e-mailing someone about a blue Marans cockerel. Like I need another rooster, but I have these really nice Marans ladies I'd like to hatch eggs from this year. I love the look of the dark eggs, and the birds themselves are probably nice enough to sell for showing in our fair if folks are inclined. Cause I need another project, right?
