That's what I thought at first!
My mistake.

Praying all is well with your cardiology follow up !
I had my appointment yesterday with the anaesthetist... all went well...so I am getting geared up now for next Tuesday...the anaesthetist did not know most of my medication...luckily the surgeon understands RA and all of the drugs I take...I stopped the Orencia two weeks ago and will not have any more until my foot is fully healed...my only concern is the anaesthetic as the first operation I had at this Hospital did not work...the surgeon started the operation and I screamed..my foot shot up in the air and it was patently obvious that the anaesthetic was ineffective...so I was dosed up with more! Had some cuts to my foot not at the operation site...scalpel cuts! Bit ouch but I am trusting that this will be relatively uneventful during the op.
I wish Nurse Rachel was here to look after me...!
Suzie, praying for an uneventful surgery next week.
Well, Nurse Rachel is actually going to be Nurse Rachel again!
Riverside called and offered me a position starting April 1st. It's a per diem, so no benefits, but that's okay for now. I can keep my Medicare for quite a while after I go back to work, but will probably get on Honey's insurance in October. They're very flexible on hours and are talking about sending me for training on the OASIS (the intake form we fill out for patients on Home Health), something I've wanted to get. I'me excited and nervous and I don't even know what, but I think this is going to be a good thing overall.
Now we just need to find a house!
Had a really good checkup today, except for one teeeeeny little thing. My stupid deafness. I am totally deaf in my left ear - can't even hear thunder. Today doc said, "Go out and live your life." For a minute I thought he said, "Go forth and multiply." Yikes!!!!
Thanks. Sure didn't see that coming....in my mind I had them all placed 1,2.3.4 and I wasn't in there. I really just entered it for fun and to kinda of take some of the stress off what I'd been through the previous week.

Great news on the recovery!I just don't know where to go with this stupid house.
We went and looked at a property yesterday we really liked. Told the agent we wanted to move ahead on it. We'd been pre-approved with a local bank, so the Realtor called them to chat. But wait, the house on this property is a manufactured home and this bank won't finance them. Well that would have been nice to know. So, the Realtor refers us to a mortgage company down in Medford who will finance. Spend time getting all the paperwork together (Honey really, really needs a better filing system!) and drive down there. After an hour or so, he tells us that basically me going back to work will totally hose us for a loan. Going back to work means the disability won't count as income as it will be ending in a few months, and the job won't count since it's part time and I've just started. Never mind it's the same field I've been in for 25 years, or that we never once missed a payment when I was sick. Nope, none of that matters. His advice was not to go back to work yet. I just can't do that, I'm so excited about this job. But the thought of spending yet another winter in this trailer is just crushing. There's so much work on the place we've been putting off cause we were so sure we were moving, it's overwhelming. And how much do you invest in some place that's worthless? We've gone back and forth on this for years and I'm just so tired of it.
So, to assuage my disappointment yesterday we stopped at the feed store down south and I bought 3 buff Orpington and 3 black sex link chicks. I think as retail therapy goes, Honey got off pretty easy!![]()
And on the good news, my NP from OHSU called yesterday. They got the final, absolute result on my bone marrow. Not only no evidence of leukemia, as they said before, but all of my previous "cytogenic abnormalities" and gone, and my marrow is 100% donor. None of my previous "me" is left there, and that's exactly what they wanted. She said "This is as good a result as we could ever hope for". So, I guess I can pretty much stop worrying about relapse. I'm getting my head around the graft vs host and that's pretty well under control, so maybe this year life will get back to something resembling normal!![]()
And apparently normal for us is living in this swamp![]()
Thank you kindly...I slaved over them! I'd NEVER feed my deviled eggs to goldfish! I like goldfish!Well, Blooie's deviled eggs are deserving of some sort of notice - not sure quite what
And no, Blooie, I didn't say that your eggs should be served to goldfish!
