My leukemia's back.

Thanks. Seemed fitting to do an Easter Bonnet and white gloves. Can't wait for next year's contests too....the Gingerbread house was a real hoot and then along came this one. More fun than one place ought to be allowed to have.
They were both very fun contests!

I had to push for the Edible Easter contest. Several years ago it was not a hit like it was this year.

It seems like we have a lot more creative folks on BYC now.

What a cute bonnet!

Had labs done this morning, everything one the CBC looks good. We're supposed to have a storm today in the mountains, and I'm wanting to get over to see my folks later this week. Hope they get the roads cleared in a timely manner. I've still got the studs on my van but I'd rather not really need them. I'm just not as adventurous as I used to be!

Tweaked the prednisone down a touch more this week---2 days on 12.5, one day on 15 mg. No changes in breathing that I can tell. I'm thinking with the better weather coming up, maybe I'll be off the meds for summer?

Wouldn't that be wonderful, Rachel?? Lower dose with better breathing! Awesome!!! I'm not as adventurous either. My idea of risk is putting only one foot down at a time on the floor in the morning instead of taking the safe way and swinging both feet over at the same time.

Worried about the kids.....look like they'll be leaving Denver and driving into the heart of a nasty snowstorm. That area between Cheyenne and Casper is total he11 when it storms....remember what it was like when Ken and I went down to Torrington for his sister's services? Yeah, same kind of storm, same area, except this time they have Kendra with them. I am praying harder about the drive home than I am about Kendra's results at this point.

I'll keep your family in my prayers Blooie and sending them safe travel thoughts.

Praying, Blooie!
Go, Rachel! So glad it is working. You have been wanting to go lower on the predisone for awhile.

My eggs go into lockdown in 2 days! Yea! Saw some good veining on day 8 and nothing on some of them and some were to dark (deep olive and chocolate) to see into. I hope we get chicks!

I want to try hatching... but I know I will go all hog and be buried alive in chickens.
That whole " Know thyself" thing.
There are no surprises anymore.

I would be so excited with olive eggs and chocolate ones!

I am down to eight girls, so I need to hold the course a bit longer before I repopulate.
Please post pictures when they hatch!

Know what you mean...the hawk killed 14 of 15 of our girls. I went and bought 2 more hens so we could at least have eggs until the chicks grow up. Now we are trying to put up netting this week. It is a royal pain to figure out how to keep it up!
I will post pictures of the chicks!
