Bless her! That is an awfully long time for rehearsals....no doubt the Princess will be the star of the show...!Hi, Suzie, cloudy, gloomy, foggy, overcast here and all is well. Princess is still sleeping. The play she is in opens for 'senior citizens' on Wednesday. They had 13 + hours of rehearsal on Sal, and 5 hours of rehearsal yesterday. Yeah, it still hasn't come together. One of the primary characters does not know her lines well and keeps screwing things up. She was exhausted when she got home last night.![]()

Good morning NFC...hope all is well with you! It is afternoon here....hubby is busy starting the construction of the new housing for the animals...hopefully the weather here will stay dry as he has to lift the existing stables roof at some stage..gonna take quite some time methinks!
The play is "August, Osage County", and she has the Meryl Streep part from the movie - a major role. She just told me that last night was a disaster. The person who does not know her lines had one scene so screwed up that Princess came up with an excuse to leave the stage - go backstage, look at her script and come back to 'save' the scene. The director later said, "I thought you were leaving to never return."
Lovely little chicks there! Isn't it always the case that the little cockerels end up being the favorites?[/IMG]
This is the male Cl I hatched out at 3.5 weeks. He is big and feathered out.
This is the second batch of eggs_-Americaunas from my olive egger and Americauna hens- the ones I asked all those questions about and then surprised me by hatching 3 days after I thought they should! That shoul teach me to mark it right and on the calendar! LOL.
This is my impulse $10 buy at the MD swap: a 100% English lavender Orpington. But it is a male!!!He is so sweet and cuddly. My Julia *loves* him! She goes for him out of all the others every time. She does not like the other female lavender Orp. Oh no, not the one that can stay. She loves the cute male one.![]()

Life has a way of pulling us in many directions, doesn't it? Just make sure you find time to give yourself a break now and then or you'll burn yourself out.I have had to resort to being an "every other day BYC member". Not on purpose, just seems that way. Sometimes you feel like you're burning the candle at both ends, that's where I'm at.
Still looking for a better job. Thursday I have an interview for accountant position. Pay is good, but location is TERRIBLE! Very far from home & in a very bad part of town. This morning I am calling back on a receptionist job that called me on Friday. It's much closer, but no idea what they are offering in pay. I've found a lot of companies are doing telephone or Skype interviews before the actual interview. I am being very selective on my next job. Been applying everywhere it seems, but it's like throwing your fishing line into the ocean.
Donrae & Old grey Mare, how are you liking your new jobs?. Too bad we can't get paid to watch chickens all day!![]()
Worked on the coops over the weekend in between raindrops. It's so wet and yucky out here. Mosquito haven. Thank goodness our chickens eat them! You all have a great day, got to get to my "current job".![]()
You are definitely coming!I am sure that everyone will come now that you have volunteered to cook...at least I would not need to have the fire brigade on standby...they are on high alert when I cook meals....![]()

That's a pity, no understudy or other person who might be looked to to take the part instead? Is it more of a community play group? I ask as I know that when our community did productions we took it seriously and everyone did there best, but when push came to shove sometimes it was the things that didn't go right that were the most memorable and neither the crew nor the audience was expecting perfection but all enjoyed the production just the same. I do miss those days as there were some surprising folks from the community who ended up cast in various roles and revealing some rather hidden talents.Hi, Suzie, cloudy, gloomy, foggy, overcast here and all is well.
