My leukemia's back.

Oh, I loved those shows! Don't forget Gunsmoke!
Flipper? Superman (the show, not the movie). Captain Kangaroo? Rin-tin-tin? The lone ranger??? Lost in space? When I was a kid, we had an old record player. Huge walnut cabinet with curved top, hand crank. I'd put on a record, I forget the RPM, and become a wonderful singer along with who ever was singing. To this day, I can't carry a note. But back in the day, I thought I sounded wonderful. I sound like a frog when I "make a joyful noise!" All the old gospel songs, loved them.

There were actually a few "stars" and every week the hero of the hour would change. Sometimes there's be a couple of Mavericks in an episode, sometimes just one, and I think there were a couple where they were all in there. Maverick was my very favorite TV show of all time! There were cousins and brothers all mixed in there. James Gardner was Bret Maverick, Bart was Jack Kelly, Beau was Roger Moore, and Robert Colbert (I think I spelled that right) was Brent.

TV in the UK was mostly westerns...from the USA

Cheyenne Bodie...Clint Walker...he was and still is yummmeeee...
Wagon Train

We had a series in the UK called Gunslinger...the guy was something else! Wore black and rode his black horse...there was even a theme tune which I can remember to this day...anyone else remember this?

I loved all the westerns but there was also Sky King, Ozzie & Harriet, My 3 Sons, the Lloyd Bridges show Sea Hunt. TV was good stuff back then!
