Phil, I can't wait to go fishing! I have had no time. Pics are beautiful. Did catch it on a fly? I want to learn the art of fly fishing.

I love the scenery  but, you can keep the keep!   pu never did care for seafood

Most that day that have never had Good seafood

NFC, stay safe! And like the others said, enjoy the trip! Do something fun and memorable.
We did it! We were able to paint the new office into a nice white with a hint of blue-Maui white- so it is neutral enough that I don't have to repaint when we leave someday. It looks nice! It is really odd having him home. Going to take awhile for me to figure it out. But I *think?* I like it?! But it has been only 2 days. So grrateful my friend was able to come paint! He basically did it for barely nothing. He not only did the office, but also the hallway, 2 bathrooms all the trim and the ceilings in less than 3 days!
And to anyone-you know who you are- working against Dr.'s orders, DON"T make us come over there!

I'm up late waiting for a boy to get home from the movies

It was Echo's 18th birthday yesterday. We're pretty low-key party folks, but I did have a good idea. I'd asked what he wanted for dinner and he wanted steak. Honey grilled some beautiful ribeyes and we piled them on a plate, then stuck a candle in the top

. Carnivore's dream, that's for sure! He loved it.

Things are going well here, verging on boring. Work is stable, I have an appointment with my primary care Thursday and will work on fine-tuning my sugars. Still no word from Sean. Working on someplace to stay while we're having my Dad's memorial. We'd looked at vacation rentals but they're too expensive so we'll probably Motel 6 it. Be great if they have a pool.

I'm jonesing to get my garden planted. It was so overgrown back there we brought the horses home to eat it down. I think one more day and I'll pull them to the pasture and get Honey to till.

How's the health doing? And the drive? And the baby chicks?

Hi Rachel....i just hatched out 9 little ducklings..... It's funny to watch the wife start taking interest in them...... My health is fine... At least as fine as it gets. We are going out Friday and buying bicycles and kayaks..... It'll give us something to do and get some much needed excerscize.... Walleye season opened Sunday and my friend went out tonight and caught seven nice "eyes'.... Makes me hopeful for a decent season this year. Although he's a great fisherman so I might not fair as Good as him.
I'm headed out Thursday with the wife's old boss. He loves to fish but he isn't very good at it. But he has fun regardless.... And he can only get better.
Heck 18 is a big birthday... But my youngest "Kacy" is turning, 21 on July 1st...... I officially won't have any"children" anymore.

Morning all. Congrats on the ducklings Phil! Pics?

My health, been better, been worse. Looking for a family doctor. Haven't had one of those in over 3 years. My old family dr moved out of area. I want one closer to home anyway. I have been to The Little Clinic 3 times and to the ER last Friday. Z-pack is all gone (again). Still taking allergy tablets, cough medicine, vitamin C, zinc, Flonase, and doing netti pot daily. Ear feels a little better, eye infection seems to be gone, so making progress. . There are A LOT of people with the same funk I have. Figuring its weather related. Way too much rain. Unseasonably cold. It's now 50F and pouring raining, dropping down to 42F tonight. This is not common May weather for Ohio.

Have to do the chicken shuffle this weekend. We have a broody hen. She is our only Dixie Rainbow. She is doing such a good job being broody. We checked eggs and she had 11 day before, but only had 7 last night. One green shell remained with blood veins attached. So, the chickens ate balut while I was at work. Poor Dixie. All of the chicks from Meyer hatchery (in Ohio) are doing awesome! Regarding the ones I got from papa's poultry (California), I lost one black copper French maran a couple days after I got them. I didn't contact them for a refund or anything. Just amazed those little newborns made such a long trip & are doing so well
I'd recommend both places if anyone mail orders chicks. Papa's poultry definitely went out of their way to insure safe shipping.

Phil, looks like our weather here is going to straighten up for at least one day this week. So, we are fishing on Sunday! I can't wait!

Good morning, Rachel, Phil, JWB and all others. Wishing a good day to everyone.

Phil, you and your wife are going to love those kayaks. Some of my best dates have been in our kayaks. We took one camping trip... had to travel 6 miles of logging roads to get to a little river with a boat landing. Then traveled through the river to First Debsconeag lake, where there are some very primitive camping spots set up by the state. Beautiful area, fishing, moose, crystal clear water, sand beaches. The only amenities at the camp spots are a place to pitch a tent, and an outhouse. One even had an "open air" outhouse sitting in a very pretty little spot. You have to carry in your own water, and carry out all of your trash. Let me tell you... it's difficult to pack for a camping trip when all your gear has to go in your kayak. One year, we took the kids. But that year, we had help getting stuff there. (a friend took a little fishing boat! with an outboard motor) The only down side of kayaks is the difficulty loading them. I'm too short to be able to be much help, and those buggers are heavy. Hubby and I aren't getting any younger.
