My leukemia's back.

I actually find the whole pot being illegal thing kind of funny as I know what booze does to you I know what pot does to you booze is way more harmful to your mind and body I'm not going to get into a debate here I just found it funny. Realistically I think it all comes down to the money the War on Drugs has been very lucrative to the law enforcement.

Being more of a Libertarian I always wondered if certain classes of drugs were legal would we would have less problems with drugs like spice and meth don't know just food for thought

Well, I forgot to post this this morning....

It's donrae's anniversary! 23 years ago today we were married under a pretty willow tree in a public park.

My pastor of over 5 years refused to marry us about 2 weeks before the ceremony, when I told him I was not changing my name. He looked at Honey and said "Well, I wouldn't marry her, her heart's not in it". And refused to perform the ceremony.

That's when it's handy to have a family full of men who have been called to the ministry. Thank you, Uncle John!

Then, on our first anniversary we went back to that town to see where we'd been married. "Our tree" had got a disease and been brutally chopped down

. Not at all discouraging.....yet here we are, 23 years later, going strong. Not perfect by any means, but we love each other, and mostly like each other, and are overall happy together. And I couldn't imagine life without him.

Happy anniversary!

What a lovely sentiment that you could not imagine life without your Husband...

Love and congratulations to you both!

Happy Anniversary - wow, what a story.......and what a jack*** of a pastor (had a similar experience while planning our wedding, didn't refuse to marry us but refused to "allow" a unity candle because I had been married before....whatever that has to do with it....really I walked out of that session feeling like he was calling me a whore and had it not be for the fact that it was DH's church/pastor I'd have refused to let him perform the ceremony).

Went looking for something to post for your anniversary and this one made me smile:

So, you could get joined in a covenant marriage, but not light a candle? What on earth?

I love Jesus with all my heart and soul, but you know what gives the Church a bad name?

Exactly -- I was so absolutely flabbergasted by that logic.........to say the least.

Happy anniversary Donrae! Hope you had a great one! Hubby & I celebrated 12 years in July. :D

Got to go feed my wry neck girl if she's still alive. She was not doing good at all last night. Have a great day!

Aww, thank you all!

I've been chasing my sugars all blessed day. Found a recipe for cream cheese pancakes, basically just cream cheese and egg. Used sugar free sryup and peanut butter. Sugars have been up in the 300's today. Now, I'm down to 88 and think I may still be trending down, so I'm going to have a little something. I have no idea why I shot up so much

Got to have lunch with my friend who is pregnant today. Haven't seen her really since July so it was great to catch up. We had her shower on Saturday, and I was waiting to see what she still needed after that. I've been buying diapers, but nothing else. She said she got lots of clothes, but not jammies. I love baby jammies, so I get to go shopping

.

Anyone have any go-to freezer meals for new moms? I'd like to get her stocked a bit. I've got some fallbacks, but would love new ideas.

Ootpost, how's the wry neck?
