Spent some time in reflection this morning... lifting you each up, Rachel has been especially heavy on my heart this lady day or two as well so hope all is as well as can be at her end

No big noise but felt I since I did share the initial results of my trip to my onc with team Rachel, I would like to share the final result. The results of the "big" test is back and I am still in treatment free remission. Phil will understand what a miracle that truly is. It was just until recently thought that would not be possible for those with CML to ever stop taking the tki drugs that kept the leukemia process at bay. I also received good news from my internist yesterday. I have also succeeded in my quest to go off the drugs and control the T2 diabetes thru diet and exercise for an entire year and got the ok to remain off until my next apt in 6 months. I think being able to stop taking the chemo drugs that were damaging my pancreas had a lot to do with it.

that is great news!!! Congrats on being off medication for diabetes!! such a huge accomplishment!

i wish i could get off medication for diabetes, but i have t1 so not possible
i just like to try to lift peoples spirits, words of encouragement are amazing things, little pats on the back do wonders for people.

I have noticed that if someone going through treatments can keep positive they handle the treatments SOOOOOO much better

We're all here for you, always. I understand the "getting the wind knocked out of you" part. Sounds like you have had time to take a breath and are ready to fight. Please know I, and all of us, are here anytime you need to talk, vent, YELL, or just a shoulder. You know, all those things you might feel you just can't do or be with those closest to you because you have to be strong for them, or they just don't "get it". We get it, we're here for you, we really do care and prayers of course always.
