Are you a masochist ? My dentist is a great guy, and I like my hygienist, but I do not like visiting them.

I do not like visiting them either! Sometimes they cut up my gums cleaning. Our regular hygienist will be off having a Baby next cleaning for me--I hope the temp is as good at not making my gums bleed!

I like the hygienist, not as fond of the dentist. He's an OK guy but I get charged $65 for him to look in my mouth for a couple of minutes and tell me everything is fine. Thanks, the hygienist did the exact same checks as part of the cleaning, she would have called him in if there were problems. I managed to avoid him and the charge 3 times in a row by telling the hygienist I saw no reason for it when she asked after she finished. He snuck in the last time part way through the cleaning. I'd love to be making $750 an hour for unnecessary "work"!

Good morning team! Hope everyone has a great day. Off to the dentist I go to get my teeth cleaned. I like it.

Ok, folks. I think our friend Cynthia is in serious need of an intervention. Normal people do NOT... I repeat DO. NOT. LIKE. TO GO TO THE DENTIST. Ok, when you're all done with that cleaning, and your teeth are squeaky clean, and you leave the office while lying to yourself and telling yourself that you WILL floss your teeth every day for the next 6 months. Yeah... right... like that's gonna happen. Ok. TMI here. Any how, the squeaky clean part is fine. but going to the dentist? Nope. Normal people do not enjoy this.

LOL... Okay, so I'll put it this way. I don't mind going to the dentist! I will admit when she asked if I floss everyday, that I said... Not every day. But she told me that I have very very healthy gums. And of course, no cavities.

He..he..nope, no laughing gas here, not even in the past when I had a cavity being worked on.

When I'm sitting in that chair, with my jaw cramping up from holding my mouth open while a stranger pokes around in there with sharp objects, staring at my uvula, I find myself wondering... Why, oh why would someone choose to do this for a living?

I actually thought that today! Just glad they do it. Who said they don't like the rough part of it...have to say, this gal was more rough.

I really haven't wanted to post this, but denial can only take you so far.......

Some of my byc family remembers I was diagnosed with leukemia in June 13. I did all the chemo and had a clean bone marrow in Feb 14, indicating remission. Well, that didn't last. My labs started dropping and I had another bone marrow biopsy, it confirmed I'm relapsed. I go back to OHSU in Portland on Tuesday for induction chemo again. This means a 4-6 week stay, 250 miles from home

. It's going to be quite a challenge for my family. My honey's having a hard time not being able to be with me, but he's got to hold down the fort at home. The boys aren't happy, of course, but at least we've had some warning this time. After Induction and some more chemo, they'll be looking for a bone marrow donor since I don't have appropriate siblings. This whole process is going to take a long, long time.

I know God's got my back with this, and it's His plan no matter what happens. It's just hard being so far from my family. And then even when I can come home, I'll be immune compromised and have to live like a germaphobe again--most of you know I'm pretty much the opposite of that!

So, I'd again encourage anyone who is able to donate blood. Not specifically for me, but for everyone like me out there who relies on a transfusion to keep going.

God is good hang in there my little brother was diagnosed with cancer when he was four he's eight now and completely clean of it it was rough just shows you how good god is keep marching soldier I believe in you and keep praying!
