I don't look at that machine! When I go in for one, I look down.. then keep my eyes closed the whole time. I'm not too fond of closed in quarters either! Just had my brain and neck done, man it was hard to stay still with my shoulder hurting. It was a long time because I had them done with and without contrast. Eyes squenched shut the whole time. Why have you had your shoulders done?
My neck and shoulders are junk.....I have so many torn tendons and such in in constant pain. Completely separated a few.
I have some kind of cyst growing in my one shoulder from chronic inflammation.... And necrosis on the other shoulder. Not to mention arthritis.

only wood you can reliably get around here is spruce. Every so often you can get birch, but that isn't much better.

And yeah... makes for lots of work and lots of wood needed.

We have a fuel oil forced air heater that keeps the bedroom half of the house from freezing (still off, but when we do run it I try to keep it as low as possible ), and we have one wood stove for the rest of the house... haven't started that either. Blasted baffle on it busted that switches it from catalytic to non....the part that busted is in the super hot part of the fire box...so not fixable. We don't have the money to upgrade the stove, and starting it when it is on a smoked up catalytic always results in a little smoke (or a bunch). Once it is all heated up it runs fine...

anyway. ..what a beast.

But we went back up to mid 40s...so no heat needed.
Completely understand you have to use what's there. We are lucky that we have a abundance of maple trees here..... Oak too.
Pine and other soft wood are harvested for paper and lumber.

I love my upright..... ours has an alarm that beeps if the door is left open..a life saver!!! Can't tell you how often we think it is closed when it isn't.

Do be very careful about that. .. heartbreaking to thaw out everything in the freezer because the door is slightly ajar.
I have two big chest freezers.... Would like to get rid of them and get a big upright.
It's a real pain to search for stuff in a chest freezer.

Oh man, glad we have the ins. We do. TriCare is great. Have it because hubby is retired military. Will see if it is as great as we've experienced... have surgery set up for next Wed. for my shoulder. MRI's show a lot. I have several tears, some from aging, but some from my fall. I have fluid built up and swelling still going on from the fall. Plus, I have something that I do.. not ... remember the name of, peeling away from the ball joint bone. What? Crazy stuff. Sure was hard staying still in that machine, shoulder hurt so bad, but, you have to stay still. Or, you start over. Glad it's over. I will be in a sling for the first big holiday, and doing therapy still at Christmas. Prayers please, that this will all be worth it.
My wife and daughter both have Champva.
It seems real good. Better than what I have through the VA. I have to get everything pre approved. I almost got stuck with a$700 bill for an ambulance ride this spring. But I was choking on a piece of meat stuck in my windpipe. It eventually came out 20 miles down the road. But I had to call for an ambulance cuz o if it had got any farther would have totally shut my breathing off. Haven't been able to swallow as good every since.... Bled like hell once it dislodged.

exactly what i said to him
and even when i was in high school and wanted to join the military they loved my test scores but once they found out i had diabetes, they wouldnt take me -citing i had a 'terminal' disease
Yeah I was healthy when I went in..... Their JP4 and the benzene have me Leukemia.
I'm very thankful I had Blue Cross for insurance when I got sick.
Was able to go back to work for 15 years after my transplant. Till the pain just got to be too much. No I live on morphine. But I'd do it again in a heart beat.
Got to see my kids grow up.
Been missing Rachel a lot lately.......
