True, that. Hubby used to have a snow plow. It was a mickey mouse affair, broken down more often than not, but it got the job done. And he is meticulous about his yard work. Our snow plow people... not so much. We have a big dent in the side of the shop from one plow guy. And I had words with one plow guy that almost ran over our well... in spite of the fact that the well is well marked. He stood there and had the marbles to tell me that he had not gone near the well. I marched him over and showed him the smashed barrel cone sitting over the well that he hit when he "didn't go near the well." If we could afford a plow, we'd be doing it ourselves. Last year, plow guy showed up late as hubby was working to wade through 3' tall x 8' wide iced combing with the snow blower so we could get out of the yard. He rolled his window down, and said... "Well, I guess you don't need me today." Um... yes, this is WHY we pay you. After 2 back surgeries, hubby doesn't need to be busting ice with a snowblower.

No garden tractor then LG? I have a 50" blower on mine. Not cheap of course but no way DW can wait for someone to come plow the drive in the mornings. Often the town plow hasn't even been through before she has to leave. But there are several other people that leave earlier so as long as I can blow her a path to their wheel tracks, she is good.

AND, DD2 will be a lift operator at Smugg's this winter. She was supposed to start today but they decided not to open that lift until Tuesday. She'll have to leave at least 1/2 hour before DW. Of course that means *I* have to get up even earlier and there is nowhere I have to go  Guess I'll need to figure out the parking such that I can get them both out with a minimal amount of work. Doesn't matter how long it takes to clear the area after the cars are gone :D
