My leukemia's back.

Good morning, Team Rachel. I'll be needing some help here. Christmas eve at my sister's house we got some troubling news about one of my nephews. Long story short: as a kid he was in a major automobile accident, multiple transfusions, Hepatitis C , liver transplant, and all has been well for many years. Now after all the years of anti rejection meds his kidneys are starting to fail as is his liver. He is on a list for a dual transplant, but ------------------

I'm gonna take a moment to climb on a soap box: If you can, please consider taking an hour of your life and donating a pint of blood. If not for 8 wonderful strangers who rolled up their sleeves and offered up their life giving blood, I'd be a widow today. Only 10% of the people who CAN donate blood have EVER donated a single time.
 
I'm so sorry to hear. My husband & I s journey started back in April. Long story short to late, my husband has has squamous cell carcinoma stage 4. He had 22 hrs of surgery in August. Removing jaw, lower lip,most of tongue, upper roof of mouth, lymph nodes, etc. Now 6 weeks of radiation everyday Mon- Fri, 2 weeks left amen. Hopefully we can put this behind us. Once all is said & done. Prayers and blessings to everyone :love

I had no idea it was so low. I donated buckets as a college kid... don't think I have donated in years. :hide
