My leukemia's back.

I did. <hanging head in shame> I hated it! Everyone else went ga-ga over it, and every bit of it was devoured. Sweets just aren't my thing. But he did a beautiful job, and both Tam and Jen had him give them his recipe.

Yeah and chocolate isn't your thing anyway. But, good girl for trying it!

Yeah, they always seem to take good stuff and cover it in that brown stuff. <shudder> But Pete was good about it....he laughed at me and said, "You're more of the Twinkie kind than the tiramisu kind, I think." Nailed it!

Sounds like a perceptive kind of guy :)

And tall....don't forget tall. This is Little Diane, who had just woken up, trying to explain to Pete why she slept so late! :lau

You, up there!!!! :lau Of course Little Diane isn't exactly scraping the ceiling herself. Make sure she gets a hug from me before she leaves (if I'm not too late). She's a super special girl in your life.

I gave blood routinely until I retired
Me too. It was easy because the RC came to the plant and took over 1/3 of the cafeteria. Guess I should see if they have a location up here.

I can't because of the cancer, and anti-cancer drugs I'm on
Gee, your blood could be preventative!
OK, sick humor, sorry.

Sweets just aren't my thing.
Hey, I DID warn you that it was sweet (I think). But good on you for trying it and I'm sure there was SOMEONE who didn't mind eating your portion.

I'm gonna take a moment to climb on a soap box: If you can, please consider taking an hour of your life and donating a pint of blood. If not for 8 wonderful strangers who rolled up their sleeves and offered up their life giving blood, I'd be a widow today. Only 10% of the people who CAN donate blood have EVER donated a single time.
I wish I could.... I've received many blood transfusions in my life also.
But being I've had Leukemia I cannot donate.

Good morning Team Rachel.

Blooie, so glad you're back. My dad had high blood pressure, and donated blood on a regular basis all his life. They used to give key chains for the gallon club, and 5 gallon club. I know, because he had them. Not sure if they do that now. They wouldn't let my mother donate, because of very low blood pressure. I can't because of the cancer, and anti-cancer drugs I'm on, otherwise I would. They can't use my organs for that reason. Dh donates fairly regular too.

Our house is kid central. I've got DD #1, and her 3 children, and my granddaughter from DD #3. They've been spending some time with me during the holidays. Last night we did a fire, marshmallows, and hay rides. They had a ball. Tonight is karaoke, after grandpa goes to work, with their new karaoke machine. I have ear plugs. LOL.

I'm in the same boat.....I was a donor till I got sick.
Pretty sure the only thing I could do now is donate my cadaver..... And I'm not real interested in that.
But I'm gonna talk it over with my doctor again.
Wonder if there is something I could be a donor for. Such as my eyes?
