I think people have a predisposition (or not) to have addictions rather than "everyone who takes xxx for more than a short time will become addicted". While simplistic and maligned, Nancy Reagan's "just say no" does have some value. Can't really go back and take the other road after you find out you are one of the people who will become addicted.I've been on pain pills for two decades and haven't become an addict.
Maybe they aren't evasive if they are pets, come right up for treatsAs they are considered an evasive species?
2005, that must be Katie!! I agree the deck looks like a much better house access point and quite useful for hanging out!

The way I heard that they were illegal to Own was on another duck thread...... Someone in Florida had a Muscovie that was hurt and she wanted to talk it to the vet but was worried because she said they were illegal to Own.Not that I'm aware of. They're everywhere here, and I've never heard of it being illegal to own them. They can pretty much be found at any body of water, especially during the winter. It's fairly easy to tame them down, and catch them. Abusing them is a major crime, though.
Perhaps he enjoyed the attentionSour couldn't your traveling buddy have removed the tick himself. Ya get a magnifying mirror and tweezers, forceps whatever and good lighting. Or were his arms too short? It would beat having doctors and nurses laugh and spread the story.![]()

Same here @N F C. Blowing like stink all night. Way higher than the forecasted ~15 MPH.
@drumstick diva, deedee, deer ticks don't sit on the surface and bite you like wood/dog ticks. They actually burrow in sometimes with only the tip of their abdomen and hind legs visible. They can be nearly impossible to remove. I had to have the doctor cut one out of my butt that I couldn't get at and the Princess was unable to remove. Right now there is part of one in my abdomen - bit me over a month ago, and I can't get all of it out. I'm afraid it's growing like "Alien" and will soon come bursting out.
