My leukemia's back.

Good Saturday to you all, team Rachel.

@Cynthia12. Sorry to hear about your troubles and that you are in the hospital because of it. Prayers sent. Lasix and Alpha Blockers along with some Beta Blockers used to be SOP for CHF. Been away from it for awhile so things may have changed.

Self help is to watch what you eat and limit your salt intake, especially from processed foods. I imagine you are going to get the whole lecture thrown at you so all I'm going to say is relaxe, rest and let the medical professionals do their job.

Heck of a way to get a vacation though girl! Lot more pleasant things to do and places to be than the hospital.

Kinda scary, Cynthia - someone in the families we love with Spina Bifida, both us with CHF.... did we drink the same water somewhere along the line?

Prayers, of course!! If they've put you on Lasix, they should be monitoring your potassium levels closely.

I figure I'm not gonna get out of this world alive anyway, so they ain't gonna take my salt!! I collect those little salt packets from fast food joints and have them in a plastic bag in my purse. If I end up back in the hospital for ANY reason, I'll have some because I'm always on a cardio diet in there. <sigh> Salt substitutes mess with potassium, so they got pitched a long time ago.

Keep your chin up, keep your faith strong, and keep us updated!
