I want to thank you all for your continued prayers, and encouragement. You have no idea what it means to me, even if I have trouble expressing it. I am grateful!

adorably cute stage... and impressively exhausting!Al, it's already begun, and it's working out pretty good so far. Recently my granddaughter's 2 year old switch turned on, so she's in full "terrible two" mode. We will all survive it though, but she sure keeps us on our toes.
Shortly after making my last post, our son messaged the Princess that Jen is back in ICU. Last night she started with breathing issues. Apparently the disease is now impacting her lungs.![]()
For the first time, since I finished chemo, EVERYTHING is stable. The activity in the tiny bone mets has stopped. All tumor activity has stopped. EVERYTHING is stable. The Ibrance is causing the false reading in the blood tests. The Ibrance does not cause the actual change in the bloodwork, it simply causes a false reading. Since the Letrazole/Ibrance combination, along with the Zometa is working, I'm going to stay on it, and get as much benefit from it as I can, for as long as possible.
Awesome news, GAC! I am so happy for you!I went to my oncologist today. Remember, last time the results on my blood work were not good at all. I did contact my oncologist, and had her review a research paper on Ibrance, that showed a few others had experienced the same type blood test results in the same areas as mine. What the blood test indicated was a cellular mutation in the blood, which is usually a form of leukemia or worse. This is why all the other tests were so important this time.
The Letrazole/Ibrance combination has gotten all tumor activity stopped, and even reversed, but we have never been able to get the bone mets stable, although the mets were in 2 places, and extremely small. I got an infusion of Zometa last month to try to get the bone mets stable. Blood is made in the bones, so the testing was going to show increased activity in the bones, which is further evidence of a cellular mutation in the blood, OR no increase in activity in the bones, which means the Ibrance is causing a false reading.
