My leukemia's back.

I tend to miss pills often but, they are supplements like calcium, fish oil, etc. I usually remember the real pills- except for the morning & bedtime ones which are REAL medication. Oh well.
It's just that I get memory lapses - no excuse but a reason. I will find pills sitting by a glass of water frequently that I thought I had taken. My father did the same thing and I used to go nuts reminding him. Oh no must be genetic imprint.
I completely understand I'm so bad about some of my pills.
Even the morphine.
You would think it would be the one pill I would remember. But no.
And they are the one thing you really don't want to forget to long cuz the withdrawal ain't no fun. Especailly if I'm out of the instant release type and I have to wait hours for the time release ones to really kick in.
I'm always in pain so you would think I wouldn't forget but the problem with chronic pain is it just becomes part of your life so it doesn't always work to remind you.

GAC, hope you aren't catching anything...allergies around here have been awful so that's bad enough.

It's nice to know I'm not the only one that has to use a box thing to remember my daily stuff! (And yet, I still miss sometimes too.)

Now if I can just remember to fill the box thing
No you aren't the only one... If I could get any pictures to post idI show you my big ole ugly pill box too....

When I first started on Ibrance, they sent me a very nice pill organizer with 30 compartments. I thought it was overkill, and continued using my weekly one. I'd get busy, and forget to refill the weekly one at times. I began using the monthly one. I have to admit, it's really a good system. It takes me about 5 minutes, once a month to fill. It's easy to see if I've taken, or forgotten to take my meds. The compartments are big enough they hold several pills, even big capsules, so I can put my daily vitamin in there too.
I use the weekly ones.... But it has four compartments for each day.... So I just use it as a monthly one for 28 days.
I cannot remember to take pills at sick and sick a time every day so I just take all my meds once a day.

'Al' , Jen is home and going stir crazy. That is when she is awake. She lost a lot of weight and is plain old worn out and tired. We have to fatten her up and calm her down so that she can recover. This is a kid who has worked several jobs at a time ever since she got her driving license even working while going to community college. Her parents said no job while away at the 'Big' college. Her last job keeps calling and asking her to come back, but she has to get better. She'll just have to deal with the boredom as best she can. Ironically the Princess's sister and BIL were supposed to visit in 2 weeks, but he now has shingles. I need to get the shot.
You know it's not my expertise the whole career building education thing..... As I was just a simple person..... But my son who does the hiring at a large hospital always said they look for people who actually worked through college.... They (out at least he) thinks that is an important attribute..... My wife was recently telling my daughter she should look for a new job that pays better.... But I told her no.
She's worked at Hardee's in Marquette for four years.... She only had a year left of school.
This job is just a stop gap job.... No need to change and start over with only a year of college left....I swear my daughter worries me.
She's such an innocent type person.... But I still figure don't mess with a system that's working.... If she changed jobs and it didn't work out.... Then where would she be.....:idunno

When it rains it pours. Glad Jen is improving, the fact that she is going stir crazy proves it ;)

Definitely get the shingles vaccine. I had shingles and I wouldn't wish that on very many people (there are a few).
Yeah I used to get shingles a lot.... It was the first symptom of my leukemia.
Then when my immune system was rebuilding I got them a lot.
Then one day they just went away. (Knock on wood...)

Anyone 50 and over can get the new better one for shingles
I can't..... Can't get the chicken pox vaccine either. And I had those three times.
No live vaccines for me.
They always thought there was a relationship between the chicken pox virus and my cancer.
They weren't sure what.... But they were very interested in that fact as I wasnt the only transplant patient that had the same issue.
