My leukemia's back.

Thanks everyone! Your love, support, hugs and prayers have been a great help!

I read all of the comments to my mother and she also appreciated them.

So thank you again!

I ran my mom around today... she needed new shoes and a belt, a set of black clothes for my older sister who is showing up very late the night before the funeral, pen and funeral guest book and 200 copies of the service made. (and no, she did not want to delegate.... she wanted to be there and help pick). And yes, the church has copies of the funeral service.... but my dad wanted a slightly different version.... So there we are.

My mom said that she will fall apart on Thursday ..... all scheduled.

by the way, I also got 2 of the best photos of my dad printed out.

the group shot is with my dad, mom, and older sis.

I have been making sure that she eats and drinks, and there we are.

What a beautiful family! I love old pics! :loveHow long were your parents married?

Hi everyone, Thank you for checking in on me every so often, it’s appreciated more than you know.

I have to admit I haven’t caught up with all the past posts, but yes @Alaskan my hole is pretty well healed but I’ll need some sort of reconstruction next year. Just had my mammo and u/s a few days ago - no signs of cancer but the multiple little abscesses are still there, but “better” (Whatever that means.). Very sorry to hear about your father and glad you all could be there. :hugs

Hope everyone else is hanging in there, and I promise to stop in more often!

And... to keep the bad news on a roll...

My dad is dying this week.... trying to get my million animals squared away...

so that the kids and I can fly down....

I haven't bought tickets yet... I have to get the animals taken care of first

lots of stuff to organize.
Al, I just read this. I'm so sorry for your loss!

We did bare bones funeral home.... just a place to keep the body cold.

We bathed and dressed my dad, supplied the coffin.

So yeah, we are doing everything. I got the 2 obits off, so that is done.

My boys said no, no hotel room, they are happy on the floor.

Kid #3 has been spending all of his time fixing my mom's second car. He has it working, and is now working on cosmetic stuff on the car (fallen off door panel etc. ). My eldest is coraling the hoard of my sister's kids, and keeping them fed.
Your kids... obviously they are being raised right. They are amazing!

@sourland - prayers for a fast and complete healing for Jen, and peace for the family. It's so hard to watch our kids (and their kids) struggle.
