My leukemia's back.

She loves the car, Bruce - but she is a bulldozer about wanting to get in the front seat with us and she’s heavy and extremely powerful. The barrier we ordered for between the front and rear of the car didn’t get here in time. Tam being back there with her made all the difference. This is not the same dog that chopped my thumb to ribbons with her collar when I tried to force her back there at 70 mph. :lau

Well, vet called. Because of the size of the incision they had to make, they had to give her a couple of extra pain killers around 1 or so. They left it up to us - we could go get her and bring her home (vet knows I have experience as an AHT, even if it was years ago) or we could leave her there overnight, and they could administer an injectible to make her more comfortable. But Tori warned us that she’s very wobbly on her feet, and as she said, “She ain’t no chihuahua you can just carry in and out. If she topples, she’s going to go down hard and could take either of you with her. Then good luck getting her back up again.” So Fee is staying the night. Maybe at our ages and conditions, we didn’t think this big dog stuff through enough, but we already love her anyway. We just may have to invest in a front-loader for lifting.

How are you going to hitchhike now??

I hope they give her breakfast in bed, she deserves it ;)
And yeah, good decision. Even if you managed to get her home and in the house she would destroy everything losing her balance trying to move through the place.
