My leukemia's back.

Gee, my permanent one was issued 10 years ago, in 2008. I just today got a notice from DMV that it was time to renew. “Please turn to back of this form and check ‘yes, I do want 2 new placards issued’ Or “I don’t need handicapped placards issued’, sign and date, and return in the postage paid envelope. Your placards will be mailed to you within the next 30 days.” Mine don’t expire until December 2018. I’ve already done it. So different from what you’re going through.

It's Florida, so there's a racket going on with them. Our politicians must be paid somehow. They used to be free here, and when the doctor checked the permanent box, they were good forever. Not anymore.

Make money off the disabled....it’s a nationwide mantra. A pair of socks for Katie runs about $1.50. A pair of socks for Kendra runs anout $18.00. Yep, for one pair. A pack of 5 onesies for a baby costs around 7 bucks. For Kendra one onesie is 37 bucks. An electric scooter costs more than some used cars. But they are a captive market...they’re taught to be independent and do as much as they can to be like “normal” people.......and it’ll cost you 4x as much to do that. Sad, isn’t it?

I agree Blooie. Find the most expensive bra, then double the price if it's for a mastectomy patient. They add a piece of material behind the cup costing them $1.98, if that much, and leave an opening to insert the prosthetic, then charge twice the price of the most expensive bra on the market. Same thing with bathing suits. It's insane.

Anyway, I got the paperwork totally filled out, and ready for her signature.

I saw the oncologist, and she signed my paperwork for my handicapped parking hangars. Instead of going into town here, I stopped at the DMV in Brandon, which is a more sizeable town. I lived there, before we moved here. They've always been nice about the handicapped hangars, but being a much larger town, the wait time is usually much longer. It wasn't too busy. The fellow was very nice. It's good for 4 years, when I renew my license.
