My leukemia's back.

I got a "C" in my creative writing class, lol.

I sleep through night storms, so its only day storms when the sky turns an eerie greenish yellow color that I really take warning. A tornado came thru 3 miles from where I was living once, I turned to DH (BF at the time) and said "there's a tornado close by" and then warning siren went off. One Friday in college, we sat on our porch drinking Killer Dew's and watching the sky turn various shades of red/orange/yellow/green one evening. Sure enough, the weather guy said there were 5 tornadoes that touched down in Iowa - about 30 miles away.

had a great day with my Mom! We had a good lunch overlooking the bay, found a shop that was closing so everything was 50% off the sale price, bought 23 pounds of apples to can and talked and laughed. It was great. She even let me buy her lunch - since we were taking the day as her birthday present.

Your teacher should have been slapped up side her head... Or his....

That was the only teacher I ever hated. The guy was just a jerk - in church he would always sit in the same spot, the acoustics in the church were a bit wonky and that one spot allowed him to sing louder than the rest of the congregation. He never said "amen" to prayers or participated in the service. I always believed he just attended so he could "grace" us all with his voice, he sang everything like it was a friggin' opera.

I always loved school and loved reading. In elementary school, I always had notes from the teachers that I "was a joy to have in class". But I hated every minute of his class. But, at the small town school I attended, there was no way to avoid taking one of his classes and still graduate.

I still love to learn new things.

Gotta love small towns!

How frustrating to have a teacher like that

Your day with your mom sounds wonderful! Happy b-day to her

Growing up in Kansas, we learned early to beware of green skies...that was always an 'iffy' kind of omen.

I had a math teacher I hated. I stink at math - really stink! Nobody wants to play Cribbage with me because I can’t find the 15s without issuing my fingers. I can count to 22, if I’m naked. :duc

This math teacher accused me of cheating on a math test because I got s B on it. It was just a “lucky” day - I guessed at most of the answers. But he didn’t believe me and for the rest of the year I had to sit at a desk next to his, facing the classroom.

But I got even. I saw him several years ago at a gas station when we were back in Sioux Falls. He had his checkbook out to pay for his gas and stuff. I asked him if he remembered me - that he'd once accused me of cheating when I hadn’t. He looked down his patrician nose and said, “If I accused you of cheating, then you cheated.”

I smiled at him, then looked at the cashier and said, “I’d verify his check if I were you....the last 6 checks he wrote at my liquor store bounced.” And I walked out.

I had problems with a science teacher in 8th grade. She'd been crazy about my older brother, the biology genius. Apparently she felt it was necessary to tell me how disappointed she was with me compared to my brother...out loud, in front of the class.

Sheesh, some people just should not be teachers!

Amen, Debby!! Our kids here have really lucked out with all of their teachers except one, who teaches in Midfle School. Evan had her in 6th and 7th, (but he’s in Lovell’s district now) and Katie had her last year and this year. She’s the English teacher, Mrs. Beemer. So Evan and Katie were talking about their school so far and Evan rolled his eyes when Katie said she had Mrs. Beemer. Katie said, “In lucky this year - I have her first period, while her coffee is still working!” I about died laughing.

Ms Katie is wise beyond her years! :gig
