That is a good size! He will be able to self regulate body temperature soon--That is at 10 pounds

Blooie it depends on style of chair, there are some bench types that straddle the tub wall so if yo can sit and lift your leg straight (or high enough to get it over the tub wall a foot or foot and a half?) you could sit raise, slide, raise, slide and your in. if you have a chair kind hopefully it has at least 1 arm (some have no arms some with 1 or 2 arms) you can reach grab one arm and slowly lower yourself to the seat (for saftey sake) and do similar as stated above. I have a family member who uses 1.

I’ve been using one the whole time, @ronott1 - I swear. I don’t think I’d be doing this well without it, in fact. Ken says I need to stay down more, everyone else says keep moving.,...doctor is in the middle saying, “move as you can, rest when you must”. I believe him the most.

Guess that means my DDs didn't self regulate for a LONG time. DD1 was 5# 9 oz, DD2 5# 15 oz. And of course they both lost a bit before they came home. Though I guess DD2 likely gained it back, she was in NICU for a week, lung issues.

@oldrooster I'm really sorry your family were such (self censored). Hopefully you have other friends and family that value you. I can't imagine people having such attitudes and hanging them on a kid for his entire life (to date).

There does seem to be a cult mentality about moving. Yes move but there is a trade off with nerve damage. Good for you listening to your body on this

Yes! it is a big relief when they get over 10 pounds.

My Youngest DD was close to 10 pounds at birth too.

Remember awhile back when we were getting all the rain, and Dh was upset with me, as if I controlled the weather? I got upset right back, and told him I had mastered controlling the weather, but hadn't perfected my skills with lightning yet, but was working on it, so he'd better watch out. Well, I told him that even though I had not yet quite mastered lightning, I had it strike there, so we would have all that nice wood. He's been warned that if he ticks me off too bad, I'll have it strike his behind.
