Really I didn't know amazon was available in 1908-1933 when my grandparents were having kids.... I guess if that was the case the internet invented Al Gore not the other way around....
So today was my scheduled cardiologist visit and it decides to be the first snow storm of the season. The 20 minute ride there took 45 minutes. Road crews had done nothing, and got behind several drivers going 15 mph.Echocardiogram was good - absolutely no deterioration of the heart valve from last year.
Ride home was a piece of cake; although, on the county road hill just prior to our road (45 degree hill) someone coming down had lost control and was crashed into a fence. Damage to pride and vehicle, but no injuries. I now hate snow or is it the people driving in the snow ?

Maybe we should all ride horses when it snows. I think they are much less likely to get going too fast. For me, it's the people that drive in the snow. Too many of them go too fast for the conditions!
Ditto on the good news sour, and I can't stand most people in AWD or 4WD vehicles because 90% or better have the "I have AWD/4WD and that means I can go 100MPH and stop my vehicle in 3 seconds by stomping my brake pedal!" what they don't realize is they will stop that fast by hitting something or someone else first!
likely it depends on how bad they are off the road and if they smell of Jim, Jack, Bud or "oregano" there may be a big up charge....How much does he charge them?
Dunno... I had one horse... EVERY time it got icy he would dance about on the ice like a brainless twit and pull something. Luckily he never broke anything.Maybe we should all ride horses when it snows. I think they are much less likely to get going too fast.
