GAC what frustrated me was he called me up yelling at me and blaming me because he wasn't smart enough to do what he needed to do to begin with send the forms in certified return receipt, and read his mail. And he got mad when I told him to call them up, because it's easier to look up my number in his phone and gripe at me because of him being stupid. I went to school many years after getting out of high school, and had to pay for it myself because mom and dad wouldn't spend the money on me just their "pets" mom liked the one who blames me for HIS actions, dad liked the other one best.
I guess it is good that they found and treated the other issues. I assume the blood thinners will help keep the blood flowing until they get those stents in. Good luck to your brother and I hope SIL doesn't get ulcers from worrying!
I read an article recently that said heart patients should ask if medication would work as well as stents. Apparently there is a rush to using stents-and stents make future heart surgeries more dangerous. So they sent my brother home today with no heart surgery. They couldn't put stents in during his initial angioplasty because of anemia & undiagnosed bleeding. They spent all week having tests run & found he had a few bleeding ulcers. The cauterized them & said they couldn't do the triple bypass now because of the blood thinners. They sent him home on blood pressure meds & said to come back in a week or two for the stents, then next year for the bypass.
My SIL is freaking out that they would send a heart patient home without surgery, but to me this seems like the answer to many prayers. Maybe they can do the stents & (if he takes care of himself) maybe not have to do the bypass at all next year. Prayer is miraculous & stranger things have happened. I'm feeling very grateful!!!![]()
The question is: Is this going to scare the crap out of him and he will now start taking GOOD care of himself?? Some improved dietary and exercise habits might improve the situation. To me, it seems like a blessing in disguise, but I'm sure he doesn't think so.
