My leukemia's back.

I didn't care abut school it was only because I had only a few weeks more of school that I stayed in and did not drop out. in Indiana you had to get a parent's signature to drop out before 18 parent's wouldn't sign and I had 14 or 15 more weeks of school, and I thought if it looks like I may fail and have to take 1 class I would quit after finals. Didn't see much use quitting half way thru a semester. Parents would not let me invite 2 friends to a party after the ceremony, so I said don't have a party. If I could not ask 2 people over and I was the graduate, then they were not having a party just for them and their friends and force me to be there. Didn't care for school because anything I wanted to do in any relation to school they wouldn't let me. Sports? No because any sport is too violent (imagine golf and swimming violent). Band? no because mom was set in the "fact" that if you were in and you had to be in marching band even tho teachers and neighbors with older kids said otherwise. Because things cannot change from one area to the next or over many years, her niece who is 22 years older than me and has a child 2 years older that went to school in a town that had a K-12 school that had 300 students where that was the case band=marching band is going to be exactly the same as a high school grades 9-12 and 1500 students. Also when I was in 4th grade she told me I could not go to the local big 10 university because I had to go about 100 miles to the north to get an engineering degree because "that's the only school there is and the only degree they give". Did I say I hate cold weather? the only reason I wanted to go to the local college is because I knew it was warmer here than north of where we lived. I saw all these college kids walking from one building to another for classes and to the library and back to the dorm to eat sleep and study and I figured that most if not all colleges are set up the same way and I was like, no I am not going to do that, Because I hated my 2 minute walk to and from the bus in cold weather, and the wait for the bus, so why would I do it where I was going to hate it worse? I may not be smart, but I ain't stupid!

Growing up, we were taught not to wear anyone else's scarf, hat, barrettes, bows, hoodies, jackets, etc. Never use anyone else's comb, hairbrush, curlers, bobby pins, etc. Nothing from the neck up was to come near our heads, if it wasn't ours. Lice was not a problem at school back then.

For the record, my daughters never got lice from school. On the first day of school, that night I shampooed the girls' hair with Adams Flea and Tick Shampoo. They used regular shampoo, and rinse the rest of the week, but in exactly 1 week, they got the Adams treatment again. It has residual action, so not a big deal. The next time I treated them with Adams, was after Thanksgiving break. The last time I'd treat them, would be after the Christmas holidays. Lice went around the school, but mine never got them. Sergeants will do the job too, but back then the Adams had a little conditioner in it. BTW, it has the exact same active ingredient as Rid, but costs way less, and like I said, had a bit of conditioner in it too.

If I were ever anywhere that had bed bugs, I would not stay. Period, the end, stick a fork in it, done.

Good that you did. Some that grew up in your situation don't ever get past thinking it is they best they can get.

You are suggesting that didn't work out very well??
My Youngest brother and I are the only two of my many cousins from that area to finish college. I think I was a good example for Him.

We went the rid route for lice until I found the Pet lice shampoo! Rid is very expensive and did not work as well
