Oldest grandson had his appendix removed today, and they are saying he may come home tonight. He's at college in California, and daughter has flown out to be with him. Sounds as if all is good with him. I've been on pins and needles all day.

Yeah, not sure what the whole story is. They try to 'protect' us until health issues have been resolved, but DD and SIL were supposed to go to dinner with the Princess and I tomorrow to celebrate their anniversary. DD texted that they had to cancel as she was on her way to Ca.

It is. The Princess is a 'MEGA worrier', and they know that, but it is an aggravation.

I'm the mega worrier here. my mother taught me so well, she got to take it easy. I stayed up countless nights doing her job. There are times I have worried so hard I ended up falling asleep and dreaming about it.

Do they know their behavior makes it much harder on you and Princess, than if they told you straight out? They should know by now.
