On another note, I think I will bake another batch of cookies tomorrow, and make all new icing for another decorating session. I hope this batch will turn out even nicer. Practice makes perfect. Thank you for the link to the contest. I will see how well I do on this next batch, and if they're nicer, I'll submit them in the contest.

Selfish, set in her ways, and resentful seem to describe her best.

That is really sad, she could have had 2 sons and 2 "daughters" who would be there for her. Instead she has something less than 2 sons since her actions are so pitiful.

Like I said, we didn't go. Haven't gone there in at least 2 years. Our lifestyle has changed. Today we spent the day doing a Terminator marathon. My grandson has never seen The Terminator. We all decided it was a fine day to cure that. We got our chores done this morning, and there was really nothing pressing that had to be done. We watched the first 2 movies, have eaten supper, and in a bit, will start watching the last 2 movies. I LOVE doing stuff like that occasionally.

I spoke with my MIL last night. Got the anniversary card from her today. For some reason, I was underwhelmed.
