My leukemia's back.

Dh loves St. Patrick's day. It's our anniversary too. A friend of Dh was sending him live videos of one of the larger local Irish Pubs. It's where we went to celebrate after we got married. We haven't been there the past couple years. For St. Patrick's day, this particular pub has a company come in several days before St. Patrick's day, and put up barricades around the entire parking lot. They bring in a couple Semi-trailers that fold down into band stages, and put one on each end of the parking lot. They bring in various large tents too. They keep 5 stages of music running full time. They rent the parking lot across the street for parking. It holds 1200 cars. It's normally very crowded. They have to start clearing out, and barricading off the route for the Fife, and Drum Corp a couple hours before they march, to get everyone out of the way. This year, there is hardly anyone there. It's dead.

Happy anniversary GAC!

St. Patrick's day on a Sunday is tough. That is a drinking holiday and alot of people have to work on Monday. It was pretty dead around here too.
In fact, New London didn't change over to "New Dublin" for their week long celebration of St. Patrick's day and everything Irish until this morning... This is their 35th annual celebration this year. The city officials dress up as leprechauns and change the city sign from New London to New Dublin at the start of the week long festivities.

Happy anniversary GAC! the Terminator weekend sounds like fun.

We have had Star Wars weekend, Lord of the Rings weekend and Harry Potter weekend. Probably a couple more that I can't recall right now.

I spoke with my MIL last night. Got the anniversary card from her today. For some reason, I was underwhelmed.

Yep! I always find it difficult to find greeting cards that I like.

Thank you:) I really like how you describe this family of friends, I think you have a way with words anyone can relate to. I get it! I think it’s unique that you have such a close group that at the same time is so welcoming to new people. Maybe it’s a ...chicken people... thing :love
And a BYH thing. There are several people here and on BYH I consider family.
