My leukemia's back.

Good morning, Team Rachel. Trip to Annapolis and back was a breeze - day was beautiful. It's spring there (almost) daffodils and maples are in bloom - temps were in the mid 60's. Best part of day was the fact that grand daughter with Lupus is doing well both physically and mentally. :yesss:
Is She going to start up with a couple of classes now?

That’s great news! And the trip sounds lovely!

Right now she is job hunting and has had second interviews on two jobs. For the time being I hope that she puts college and the pressure that goes with it on the back burner, but I'm only the grandfather. :p
It sounds like things are going well!

As you may very well know , life with this disease is a roller coaster. Several years ago she nearly died with Lupus Nephritis, and things have been up and down since then. Community college went well (just a couple of classes at a time), but when she went off to the 'big' school things fell apart.

That is all great about your granddaughter- makes for a very beautiful day!

Blooie- I came across a heartwarming and realistic post from you about Scout the frostbitten chick and your sweet granddaughter Katie. Scout had it as good as possible in his short life, and your post is helpful to those learning about all aspects of chicken care.

Sunny here today also, and it’s a happy Monday- off from work for spring break for the students this week and I’m loving this extra time with my two little ones!!

It has been a journey for sure. I remember those bad times over the years. It is good that She is not pushing too hard now.

Thank you! He was so special, and since I was updating here on a few threads as we went through his treatment, for a while he had quite a fan club! I wish it hadn’t had to end the way it did, but the grandkids came first.
