We got some snow too! most of the new snow has melted off... the old snow is still there in the berms etc. But getting smallsr.

Pond is still frozen ... but my roads are getting nice.

No snow on the driveway and the sink holes are firming up.

Yep. Actually it is a Tevana, lid broke so I bought my wife a new one for her tea. I drink coffee so (in) frequently that I'm still on the pound I bought before Christmas.

His son may have a Keurig coffee maker, with the pods. Unless you have one, and know how to operate it, I'd be like Phil, and have to go buy a cup of coffee.

The Teavana is easy. You put a scoop of coffee grounds in it, pour in hot water. Wait a bit. Put the Teavana on top of your mug and the coffee comes out bottom of the Teavana. Careful not to put too much water in the Teavana or you'll end up with coffee on whatever surface the mug is sitting on.

Keurig is about the most expensive way to make coffee, environmentally unsound as well (though I guess they do make reusable pods you can put your own coffee in).

skip all the bother, just twist the top off a refrigerated diet, caffeine free coke and I'm good to go. Never cared for coffee and tea does NOT like me in the least

Bruce I cannot remember how many times you can reuse those reusable ones, but someone told me once how many times it limited you on the package, and it still was no bargain. Maybe a couple of dozen times? I can't remember but it was like why make the effort if it was so few times? I think since the price has come down on them if someone wanted a "fancy coffee" or hot chocolate 3-5 times a week it MIGHT be as cheap to buy one and use it compared to a gas station/fast food version of a starbucks, and far cheaper than a starbucks. but for a cup of regular coffee I'd get your version. in order to not spill everywhere I wonder if an old measuring cup with the lines wore off and a wax pencil mark(s) on the side for water level for your cup(s) might not work you can nuke the water bim bam boom... BTW O am considering buying a coffee maker, a 10 to 12 cup one so I can brew ice tea with it, and use it for making hot water for instant soup or potatoes etc etc etc I wouldn't keep the tea in it I don't want coffee or tea flavor stuck in the pot

I have a couple clear pyrex bowls that I put water in, toss in 3 of the family sized tea bags, toss in the microwave for 6 minutes. When done, use a slotted spoon to squeeze out the tea bags, and remove them. Pour it into the tea pitcher with sugar already added, then stir a minute to dissolve the sugar. Add cold tap water, and it's done. The pyrex washes clean, doesn't stain, or pick up any flavor. For coffee, I have a typical 12 cup coffee maker. Even when it's just me, I make at least half a pot of coffee at a time.

Just before Dd moved in, and it was just me drinking coffee, I thought about a Keurig type coffee maker. Having a fresh cup of coffee every time I wanted one, sounded appealing. I had read an article saying they were finding they were prone to mold build-up in certain places, even with good cleaning, so I didn't get one. Supposedly, they've corrected that problem, so they can be thoroughly cleaned now. The price of the pods, depending on what you get, have become fairly reasonable. No, I would not reuse a pod. I can NOT see them being all that practical for a family with multiple coffee drinkers.
