My leukemia's back.

I'm waiting on them to announce there has been another slight shift, and we're the target again.
They are saying to be ready just in case. Hoping it stays it's course now. For now I'm hearing just beaches...someone called in and asked if they were ok now because they were 30 miles inland. They told them to be ready anyway...to board up windows, have supplies...not just because of wind and rain, but the inevitable power outage. Take care!!

Most recent post was 22 hours ago? Wow.

This kit works well and can be used to clean inside the dryer too
Not sure I'd use that on the white plastic "spiral" type hose. Of course those aren't recommended any more but I'm sure there are a million miles of them connected to dryers throughout the country.

Boo! I'm getting sick. Head cold, sore throat starting.
NO!:barnie
@Cynthia12 Hope you feel better soon!
It sounds like DH and I are starting to come down with the the same thing as you.

It hasn't reached full-on panic mode, but there is an undercurrent of anxiety in the stores
Sadly the current forecast track has the eye barely east of Wilmington around 2 AM Friday. Stay safe Bunny!!!

Well found out something new, my next door neighbor in my new apt. was in another location a few years back in the same complex and had it out with her next door neighbor and a couple of others near by they moved her to where she is now, and about that time she changes her name. Why you may ask does that mean anything? Well she changed it because her son murdered a local college student. and he was a "super stupid criminal" one might say. he had apparently harassed the girl earlier in the evening was warned by cops to leave her aloneand then later that night was seen around her about the time she disappeared he left her body beside a well traveled road in the county and left his cell phone behind. they picked him up in no time flat and I understand it was a slam dunk conviction....

Be very very careful who you choose to associate with in an apartment complex. There are some really decent people that live in them, but there are many that are the pits, and you don't want to really have anything to do with them.

I had a pretty good day yesterday. Dd #2 came by to take me out to supper. We went to Outback. I got a bit of a break from hurricane preps, since it wasn't going to hit here. From everything I'm hearing here now, I've figured out that the "experts" don't really have a clue as to what is going on with this stupid hurricane. Of course, they won't admit it, and they're covering their butts. Hurricane warnings are in effect for almost all the Eastern coast, but don't worry, it's really not going to hit anywhere, just travel up the coast far enough from land that it won't do any damage, unless it does make landfall somewhere, but that's covered, because there are hurricane warnings in place all up, and down the coast.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, I did a few more preps, and will hit the grocery store tomorrow. Not for hurricane supplies, but for our normal grocery shopping. Remember, we went on Thurs. because this was suppose to hit on Sunday. That changed. Yes, I have more than a week's supply of food, but why tap into it, if I can do my regular grocery shopping, and simply restock.

Funny thing is, when they said it would not hit Florida, just follow the coast, but maybe at a safe distance, everyone from the center, over to the west coast began taking down their plywood, etc. Now, everyone's putting the plywood back up.
